How to show fps in VR ?

Hi,

for at least two years I wonder how to get the frame rate displayed in VR.
With Google, pages are shown where there's only hustle and bustle, but nowhere can I find a concrete announcement.

Many here talk about frame rates... ...how do they know?
I don't need a frame rate on the 2D screen either, because I don't see it under VR.

So can someone tell me exactly how to do this?
Thank you.

Debug tool is the only tool for rift.
Steamvr has a few more options.

It is now included in the oculus instal some googling should will tell where.
in general it's tucked in under the software install in your programs folder.

I have been struggling for alot of time with getting a decent fps indicator while in vr .
while there are alot of options to choose from the simplest are sometimes best .
i have tried different things like for example oculustraytool with voice commands , but i have to say that the amount of information that is displayed when you pull up the info
is just to distracting and kinda "in your face" . In other words ( dont wanna use that word but here it comes ) . "ruins the immersion"
What i find best is a 5 year old program called fraps and it works great with a logitech G13 keyboard .
I can peek trough the nosehole of the oculus rift when i need to , and when positioned correctly you can read the FPS quite nicely .
and so you know when ASW is on, or not . For me this is still the best way of handling FPS within VR

Hope that helps,

Sev
