Newcomer / Intro How To Unequip A Weapon?

Is there any method to unequip (remove) a weapon from a suit loadout such that I'm not carrying a weapon?

Other than creating a new suit loadout and don't add any weapons.

edit: you can have a lot of them, however i kinda hate scrolling through loadouts...
I have eight, indluding the default. Any more would, as you allude to, drive me nuts. Not sure why they didn't create a "null" entry for a slot - they can do it with cosmetics. Ah well...

I'm still an advocate of mod swapping though :D

you can still delete the obsolete loadouts
at least the suits retain the applied cosmetics
 
Although I have never tried to remove a weapon from a load out, I’m shaking my head. There are so many examples of crappy coding, it boggles my mind. The menu interface(s) are in general really awful.
 
I'd say it's more inconsistent than crappy. If they can do the "none' thing in livery, they ought to be to apply the "none" thing here too. Just a wee lack of polish IMO.

There are more significant areas where some optimisation could be applied. Like having your ship recall to you at a sensible distance on level ground... Instead of 2KM away on a load of rocks that block the egress point :D
 
This is nothing compared to powerpants. Remember that? If there was a crappy power invading your system and you wanted to get rid of them, what could you do? Join a power to undermine the first power - even if you didn't want anything to do with powers in the first place. It was just assumed that you would find the whole thing so wonderful you couldn't possibly want to oppose all of it.:rolleyes:
