How to work on duplicate?

I was trying to make a rock pillar-like jungle mountain like this towering jungle mountain that would be lined around the boundary line. I try to do it like making a dome way you build with building parts but somehow it refused to do auto duplicate after i clicked on duplicated and advanced move you know X - right ctrl. I wanted it to stay where it is so i can duplicate over again until the circle is completed, I like to do copy and paste then work abit on it to make it look nice. I got frustrated with this.

I want to copy from this and work on this shape into cool mountain.

I have that too on some things, rather annoying having to click on again to duplicate. And also no making into a Group, unless you are expanding a Group? if that makes sense

If you select more than 1 "building" you can't duplicate.

- Building = "a group of gridded objects" (walls, roofs).

And you can't combine or make groups when it contains several "buildings" right? Shouldn't you make a Blueprint then?

I have a feeling that is the issue you are encountering.
