All dinos in one giant paddock! Jk that would be awful. Ian Malcom may appreciate the chaos though
I'm just curious, but where did you get the 9 Parasaurolophuses figure from? According to the DPG website, there were 15 in the park. (source: http://www.dinosaurprotectiongroup.com/what-killed-the-gene-guard-act.html "Attachment: InGen List" near the bottom)
Edit: I just rechecked the list. There were 9 of them in 1994, after the Isla Nublar Incident.
I won't lie. My first park will probably be a total mess.
Kinda like my first planet coaster park, that looked so bad but I had a ton of fun.
I definitely plan on having a flock of Struthiomimus in my rex paddock. Will give the guests a real glimpse at hunting
One of the aspect that I start to think is how I will manage the creation lab.
From what I understand one lab will be able to produce any dinosaur (when researches I made) logically this building should be expensive (to build and to run because of all the scientist. I hope it is!).
So my guess is that you shouldn't need more than one in the park to limit cost, so I start to think of a model with a "entry-lock", it's like a safe zone where come the output of the creation lab. From there two exit possible (main gate to release to the valley or transport-helico for release in another enclosure).
Little schema :
It may be that food and hunt are more complex than it seems. In fact, in a Spanish videogame magazine (Playmania) there is an article about JWE (they also interview Nick Rodgers, Head of animation in Frontier) where it says, literally: "However, carnivores will get tired of feeding on goats and cows and their happiness will diminish if they can not hunt other dinosaurs as they would if they lived in freedom. "
This may mean that at some point in the game it is necessary to incorporate a carnivore into an herbivore enclosure to hunt, and in this way, "balance" the ecosystem of the park.
That really is a good idea. They are cheap and truly are expendable with such a dismal guest rating. I remember from the event gameplay the cost 34,000 compared the Ceratosaurus's steep 870,000. Im honestly probably going to do that along with the goat, and considering as far as we know the dead Dino's are airlifted, not rangered this sounds like it really could work great!I definitely plan on having a flock of Struthiomimus in my rex paddock. Will give the guests a real glimpse at hunting
