HUD/UI/Map suggestions

It would be nice if I could put down a route with more than 1 stop. Say I wanted to fly in a circle or just back and forth between 2 systems without having to do both routes separately. In essence, continue putting down routes, not just limit it to 1.
It would also be nice if there was some info in the HUD about how many jumps are left to go. That data must exist so I don't understand why it is not shown. Useful for exploration, trade etc.

Then there's amount of shield left. We have a percentage for armour but nothing for shield. A percentage and maybe an actual number (MJ) too would be nice.

Would also be nice to see how many tons of fuel there's left in the tank. EDDiscovery gives that data but I would prefer it in-game.

What would the upside be? Well, I could plan accordingly. Should I dock up for fuel if theres one jump left? Do I even know if theres one jump left unless I open some menu. Too much is done in menus as is.

The HUD is also very hard to read when flying towards something bright like a sun. Actually, I can't even see ships I'm shooting at if they are heading towards the sun. Visor needed.

Some random stuff: Missiles are useless, too little ammo, not enough damage. Should come with 300 missiles at least. Maybe drop dmg a little. But you could also do small, medium, large missiles, those would correspond with 1, 2 ,4-size slots. Different amount of damage and amount of ammo for each.

It's in the nav-panel, one button press to view. Now I can see a use for it on the HUD for some people, in fact I have seen many things asked for on the HUD, so much so that the HUD would be unusable of they were all there. What we need is a configurable HUD, I am an explorer, I don't need system status = anarchy for every system, they basically all are, I would replace that with star type. having a number of slots on the HUD where we could select from a list what info to display would be really good.

Again a specific thing that I would have absolutely no need of but others would find useful.

You have a fair idea though by looking at the fuel gauge surely, having a number rather than a line graph would be more accurate.

I usually judge it by the amount of fuel I use per jump. I know the amount of fuel I use for a max distance jump, if there's not that amount available on the fuel gauge I know I don't have enough for another jump. This brings up the star type, yes it appears for a few seconds when you initiate a jump, but sometimes I forget to look and if I know I only have enough fuel for this one jump I have to cancel the jump to check the star type to make sure it is actually scoopable.

Ah yes but then how would people be able to dive out of the suns glare for a surprise attack? :D

The rest isn't really relevant to me, I don't combat, but a HUD that you can configure with different information for different roles would be very useful.
