So I am out doing some exploring and noticed this gauge/meter on the HUD is it for Integrity?

Good eye. I've never even noticed it.

Its just where different status effects are shown. The UI can show a maximum of 6 at the same time.

The bit you have circled?

It's not a gauge, it's just an under lining for warning lights. That closed bracket symbol means you have internal damage. Other symbols can appear over the other dashes, in combat it can get quite full.
