I end up being so fed up with bark mounds I stop going down to check out Bio signals when I explore.
I would suggest once you have the BIO or GEO analysis in your codex they should Show what they are from a Surface scan.
Also they should give all the damn Human Signals separate names. Installation, Mega-ship, Generation Ship, Fleet Carrier, Crash Site, etc etc.
Even more, We should have sub filters in the Nav panel for POIs, so we can filter for hotspots, ResSites, Geo, Bio, Perm USS, NHSS, Mega-Ships, Instalations, Tourist Beacons, Info Beacons, etc etc again
