[Humor] Hauler "Review"

Dear OP, what the hell are you talking about? ;)

The Hauler is the single small ship that stays usefull during the whole gaming career! And yes, as a taxi. But what a beast of a taxi!

- great jump range (and this before engineers)
- can fit an advanced drive -> leaves the station's mass lock in no time (and this again before engineers)
- a class 3 fuel scoop fills the tank in seconds and still doesn't need to sacrifice the largest slot for it - because it has two of them (= max shields, no moral objections)
- can outfit advanced scanner and surface scanner to gather some data during the trip
- is cheap -> can be gathered over long distances with low costs in order to take another taxi trip with it.

Ergo: the Hauler is the best and most useful ship in the entire game!
And it is also cute!

Yes it's a good explorer... BUT damn Zorgon classified as a freighter!

This. As a craft to move around the bubble it is almost unparalleled. AspX and DBX might have higher jump range, but also cost more, not only to move to your location, but to just have built up. 400k for A rated drives is cheap enough that you can buy one to get around in while still building up your Eagle or Viper. Before you could move ships around I had about 6 or 7 of these to move between areas of focus instead of limping around at 10ly a jump in a combat ship everywhere.

Even as a freighter, 16 cargo space in a minimized build with >15ly jump range is exceptional for its pricetag. A similarly rated Adder is nearly twice as much (for 4 more cargo space and 3ly further range) and might put it out of reach for those looking to do cargo runs early in their career. Which is entirely the point of this ship... a cheap freighter.

At mid-tier I still use it regularly either to get around, running data, or for checking out signal sources. Even if I get ambushed and turned into scrap, the most I'm out is about 25k.

My Hauler can fly > 500m/s, jumps almost 50LY and is incredibly cheap to transfer between stations when I need a taxi :) It's a great ship.
