So another little update as the work gets more into what I lovingly call minutia. I think I enjoy building buildings and whatnot more since I'm a bit more practiced at it, but I'd still rather wrangle a rollercoaster any day. It's always worth it in the end though.
The main focus has been developing the Boardwalk into a distinct area.
Rockwork under the Chair Swing.
Donuts and Soft Drink. Taking design cues from the monorail station behind.
Scizzer. Because we can't call it anything else. [cry]
There will be more fairgroundish signs around. Tastefully placed of course.
The shops at the lower end of the Wilderness area below River Town have been given bodies.
It's a break in the substantial walk between Rivertown and Odyssey Island. I'm still contemplating whether or not to put a mini Pirate cove area around the water/river/inlet to the right.
I like that if you glimpse through the bushes you can see the River Town Express drop into the tunnel.
A few more scenery items to the Wilderness area... a windmill, a caravan (I think that's what it is), and some more rocks and things.
The challenge with this area is that I hadn't seen it properly since I did Odyssey Island, and a few of the big coasters were ruining the continuity of the area, but placing too many/certain types of trees ruined the look I wanted. I'm pretty happy with the look of it now. Maybe.
And just to finish, I've filled in this area a bit more to make the coaster look like it's supposed to go there.
Trying to make the last turn of Project Air interesting. I think i'm going to bring the Robotix building out so that it hangs out over the track a little, so it feels more immersive. The idea is that while most of Odyssey Island is pruned and neat this is a little overgrown corner Project Air speeds through.
