I am an Idiot

So jumped all the way to the other end of the pill and back again and it was only when I got back to opala that I figured out how to use the D Scanner -D'oh. call me stupid.... ah well, at least I wrote down all the jump points so can make the trip again if I feel like it.

What's the d scanner for?

Scanning systems not in your galactic database. You can scan the known bodies in the system and then sell the data at stations. If you are the first to do so you get more money than someone who's doing it later on etc...

Get to work!

Elite: Dang does seem to have a lot of ways for us to exhibit our rubbishness. :)

Am I the only one who continually selects "Launch" after docking? I blame my stupid fat fingers.

No, it is because the menu does not start relyably any more on the "station menu" line. Sometimes it starts on the "launch" line, and lo and behold your routine-brain is fooled once more.

I ticketed this. Not that Frontier would not have anything better to do.

To the OP: I wish the beta2 client would actually let me jump relyably without crashing, so, enjoy and do it again, knowing that you are priviledged!

I've done this. I assumed that it was because I pressed the "F" key a couple of times after I had actually docked.

The annoying thing was, the first time I did it, I flew away and requested docking again, but it refused. I had to go to another star and come back. The next time I did it I requested docking immediately without moving and it allowed me to re-dock.

You want some idiot? My cat had nudged up against my throttle while I was docked and I hadn't noticed. Hit launch ready to carry some cargo and...zip...zip...crack...boom

I swear she knew what she did as she was still purring to the explosion on screen!

Mine likes to lay across my joystick arm until it falls asleep or swat at the space dust.

Mine likes to head-hug/scratch on my mouse hand, thereby weighting my finger on the fire button in quick succession. In station. Lazor-strikes, boom.

That would be a great line for Astra in Voice Attack to come out with....

"For-give him he's an id-i-ot" (a la TV advert)

I think I'd get a bit depressed how many times I'd hear that through the headphones though! :D

Sympathies for the OP though! Doh!
