I am finally fed up with the quality of updates

It was the really first time since the release when I was really confident while reading the long list of bug fixes and qol improvements that this update could have been different, e.g. because many fixes adress bugs that have been around for a long time like even since Beta or release. That included the hope that Frontier did take time for testing and finally ironing out major bugs like staff getting stuck somewhere.

1. But entering my 500h+ Franchise zoo again - like several times after updates - only leads to frustration within the very first minutes. 50 of my staff (several hundred total) are stuck at the intersection of normal/ guest and staff path, which had never happened before, unable to move.

If I move them manually for a few meters, they keep getting 'idle'/ stuck. If I place them somewhere far away, they seem to start working "normal' again. But the overall reported number of 'staff alerts' is not decreasing. Is the reason, that more staff is getting stuck at intersections while playing? Unfortunately, I cannot tell.
Because the well-known and many times reported bug of UI panels/ overviews stop showing its content or getting stuck while scrolling down (i.e. in this case the staff overview) is still there.

2. Moreover, a freshly matured animal cannot be moved to the trade center by the 'rapid' button in the animal overview anymore, a thing that has ever worked until now. And why??? is a freshly matured animal shown as red (approaching death) in the small status circle?

3. Finally, the game also crashes for me when trying to edit work zones - a bug we already had last winter.

The bottom line is: after months having not played like many others I really was looking forward to this major update and had hopes that the overall quality of the game and the quality of an update improves. But again, while there are improvements, which this time I am not even able to see or test, while working or existing things are getting broke. One step further, at least one step back. And this applies to nearly every update since Beta.

Same, I was really looking forward to playing planet zoo again with all this new additions and fixes, only to get rick rolled by crashes and bugs (like me adding space to one of my enclosures, and for some reason, the animals stopped registering the new boundaries and just walked right through them on my Franchise costing me thousands to emergency captures, then found out workzones crash you when editing or deleting them. So my larger zoos are messed up now cause of this :(

I don't have any of your problems in my zoos (maybe because they're smaller) besides the work zone bug, but one thing:

It took me a while, but the red colour in the status circle seems to indicate that the animal is on contraceptives. I was equally confused, but they turn green when you untoggle the birth control. So at least that is not a bug, but a feature ;)

I honestly don’t have any problems either. I know system specs play a role in how well the game performs. When I hear people say they have several hundred animals and several hundred staff plus guests. Of course low frame rate is to expected. All simulation games have lag and crashes when the game reaches large numbers. Zoo tycoon 2 did the same thing with lesser graphics back in the day. I had the staff stuck bug a while back and I’ll agree the game is virtually unplayable at that point but haven’t experienced it since. I did hear about the work zone crash that so far I haven’t experienced but I’m sure frontier will get them squared away.

You could be right but then they should explain changes to long existing features actively, that's very irritating after 1+k hours in the game. And still, I don't see any connection between maturity and manually applied contrceptives.

Not sure what's your contribution here in guessing things. I have over 1k hours in this game, I am very knowledgable in every aspect of the game and have had many problems and invested many hours in dealing with several bugs since Beta/ release. And my specs have always been above the recommended ones.
If you look at these forums, discords, reddit and steam forums you will see many people with similar issues. I am not talking about people creating new zoos with the new DLC content - sure, then it's very unlikely that you encounter these problems.

I mean, I watched DaLadySigner's stream last evening playing an existing save. In 1.5 hours her game crashed 3-4 times, Koalas glitched around the whole time, her transport ride crashed the game when trying to edit it and otherwise it was just glitching the whole time.
Is this the way how Frontier likes to have its game represented?

I mean, my intial post only describes my experience when loading my 500+ hours franchise save, had you been happy with the same experience? I mean, we're talking about a zoo sim game. A 'zoo' with 50 species, 500 animals and 7,000 guests (maxed) does not really sound unreasonable.

I did not encounter many bugs except very buggy dingos, but I trust Frontier will take care of that soon. But got to agree on that one, I really wish we were able to have parks with more than 50 species without those fps drops. I really dislike when people say: "I recooment to have smaller parks with 10 species"...like...it is a zoo game...? Are people actually creating new zoo when reaching 10 species? That is crazy.

in a fresh zoo, with 300 guest and 5 animals, the workzone-tool still causes crashes, it has nothing to do with larger zoos, or hardware. the crashes started with the new update. the same crashes were in game 1/2 year ago. the basics, again dont work.

The focus of my inital post wasn't the crashing regarding work zones, because that's obviously an (already aknowledged) bug affecting nearly all players.

The focus are the many other bugs occuring when you just load an existing zoo, in which many hours had been invested, in order to build a realistic zoo, not a wildlife park or something with 4 Australian species, what people call a 'zoo'. And the history of this game's development and its patches/ updates unreliability.

Did you dare to load your 'Sinbad' zoo? I mean your zoo is also one of the most long-lasting zoos around, especially in Franchise if I remember correctly?
What are your experiences except the work zone issue?

no, i started the new australia-biome, because i was hyped (now cant figure out why). afer the 10th crash, i played wow to farm my bee-mount.

@marcnesiumHH I’m just saying everyone who’s played Planco and planet zoo now also knows there’s not really a system on the market right now capable of playing these games in a full capacity park or zoo without experiencing some hiccups down the road. Not trying to argue or belittle your intelligence I’m just saying. Now as far as the Australia pack causing crashes that may be I just haven’t experienced it on previous zoos or new at this point.

I think it's fair to admit that Frontier's track record with new content creating new bugs is pretty consistent. I don't know whether it's because they rush things out or don't test them or what, but with literally every DLC/major update so far there have been several bugs that have required quick fixes in the form of further, smaller updates. In this case, 1.3.1 is already just around the corner in order to address the workzone issue.

If they would do public testing prior to launch rather than their whole secretive nonsense, it would go a long way in preventing these major issues.

As it seems 'navigation' is broken in many existing zoos, many people on Discord and Steam are reporting this - i.e. staff, visitors stuck, animals not being fed. And this not only applies to large zoos, but also career zoos, new (and growing) zoos. Also still plenty of people reporting animals glitching through barriers or being reported as escaped in the middle of an habitat, e.g. in 'brand new' Aussie zoos with just four species.

I'm having the same issue. I loaded my sandbox zoo and soon some alerts started to appear...hungry animals, mechanics and vets that can't reach the exhibits. I see the staff just running around.
