I understand that sentiment, however people play for different reasons. Of course it's a hard blow if you expected to be part of a team for years to come. The community will be smaller. But there will be players there for you to meet.
However others may play to enjoy space, explore, do a bit of fighting and 'generally just play'.

It is still 'playable', what you want out of it is up to each and one of you of course.

Those severs will be shut down inside 2 years, probably 12 months. It's a resource that FDev will deem an unnecessary cost. They'll have no problem in doing it, they've just dumped on console players after misleading us for months.
