I broke my elite - reached max int32 number in combat bond :D

So..

... is it just me wondering what we would have to offer the OP to hand these in to the "right" station?

Offers over 100M Cr only please, 10% finders fee.
Not entirely sure I'm joking.

(has there ever been a marketplace for this, could this be a new player driven economy??)

:)
There is a cap per commander and a total cap for bgs effects.

I love it. Feel free to redeem your bonds more often. Now at least the rest of us know the limit of letting our bonds build up. I think I had 4.9 million earlier today as my max. Now don't do that again. It was probably you who took down the servers earlier with that error ;).

yeah I normally do, I just wanted to see how far I can push the bond... didnt think id run out of numbera lol

Wait is she paying you now? :D

Hm, coming to think about it.... Creative tax evasion schemes...
Ever since I stopped selling Mining products myself but offload them to my Carrier and have other buyers empty the shelves instead.... it seems that NPC stopped getting those huge 10% income cuts of passive income :D

So yeah, for the moment it appears she's not only in debt with me based on that Panel - but indeed mostly unpaid.
Well, she isn't working so I typically have her clean my Beluga. uhm... well, it's in Storage while I'm in Deep Space. Yeah, that's it :D
Does that make her an "NPC Slave"? lol

Got this fascinating insight in another thread:

ok so you overflowed the UINT, and you actually earned 5 096 119 998 Cr (that is 4294967295 + 801152704 - 1 (as the -1 accounts for "zeroing" the value).
BUT ! (now comes the fun part) they actually store the wole (co called long value), because if you divide 4294967295 by 5 096 119 998 you get: 0,8427916329846203 !! that is your 84%. !!!
This means that there is actually no cap tuo UINT value inside the engine (but probably LONG - 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 or ULONG - 18,446,744,073,709,551,615.
The cap is probably somewhere in the EDclient, or in one of the calculations along the way.

That would in theory mean that cashing it in could actually work, but I wouldn't risk trying that if I were you 🤣

Ha, brilliant!

Best thread I've read in ages...

Going back to Elite '84, once you'd reached ---- ELITE ----, if you went over 2^16 (65536 points in kills) you went from Elite back to Harmless.

Looking forward to when this happens - there's going to be fire brands and pitch forks in the forums... So SNAFU - Situation Normal, All Fluffed Up ;)

PS that's ONE HELL of a bounty collection, rounding errors ignored.

Right on, Commander!

Good catch OP! You'll probably be fine if they use long on the server/comms - so hopefully it's a client thing and a genuine 'bounds-error' conversion type bug. You noted the cause above. Fun one tho' :)
