I can't believe FDEV actually is trying to balance power play, PLEASE LOOK AT THE REST OF THE GAME NEXT

I started playing Elite Dangerous since launch, and NEVER seen any good effort of balancing across activities rewards in this game.

IT IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. I stopped playing long ago because the game as always been pushing to one or two activities, usually exploiting some non designed way of making credits, leaving all the rest of the game completely worthless to do in terms of credit rewards.

PLEASE PLEASE LOOK AT THE REST OF THE GAME AND DO WHAT YOU ARE DOING WITH POWERPLAY.

Thank you giving some hope that one day the game will actually be balanced and engaging.

If you stopped playing long ago, why do you think what FD are doing with PowerPlay is good?

I played at the beginning....I got bored long ago.....I recently came back.....I'm getting bored again. The game is a grind. The devs have shown a consistent lack of imagination throughout.
I never explored power play so I'm not bothered about that in the slightest.

Cockpit cats are probably a good idea but what the hell are they? (I'm a bit behind on the jargon)😂

I'm sure you find it so. (grind is a player mind state, after all)

Cockpit cats are 4 legged animals of the feline genus, normally covered in fur and recognised by a distinctive ability to make noises often referred to as "meow", and hiss when disturbed.
🤣😂😅

.......ahhhh.......a real pixel cat. Silly me, I was thinking it was an abbreviation or acronym for something.

and aren't all feelings, preferences, opinions, needs and wants a mind state?......with all due respect, that part of your comment was redundant.

I would like to know how the game should look like in the eyes of people who complain about the grind? What do they really want to change?

Grinding is essentially the player's decision (insofar a 'mind state'). If you want to reach a goal quickly in ED, you will have to do repetitive tasks AKA 'grind'.
Why are those people who complain that ED is grinding so obsessive with grinding? Just play it for the fun, create your own story, join community goals or use 'Elite Dangereuse' stories and enjoy when making progress almost automatically. No one forces you to reach a certain goal in a short time. Elite is different from 'shooters on rails' - it doesn't really have a story which makes you the center of the galaxy (at least not for anyone but yourself).

i also play from day one, with around 5k hours in my background, actually im coming back after a couple of years stop. just for powerplay update.
i also found TONS of my old elite friends came back for the same reason: the new powerplay.

i think no so much veteran cmdrs cares about the credit income i that game. we already grind\make it.
i personally have an overall assett of "only" 3bilions.
its a ridicolous ammount considering how fast can credits be done in thoose time, last week i make 4 plants scan (exobiology) in around 40 minutes, and they gave me 20milion each one.
back in my days for make 20 milions i had to do a entire week of gameplay and i make, last week, 80milions in 45 minutes with a viper mk4, but the sidewinder can be enough.

if they, for example, decide to not make the powerplay update, but just buffing activities that lack of a consisent credit income like for example bounty hunting...who care? i will not decide to coming back to play elite dangerous just because i can grind more credit, the powerplay update was waaaay more important in terms of end game content.

they make the right choice.

With the same respect, if one is predisposed to considering something to be a negative experience, it normally is.
"Grind" is one of those intangibles, so, as such is a perception rather than absolute, I do not consider that I have ever done any 'grind' in this game, others may disagree, naturally, as they are approaching the same game with a different mindset.
