I can't find Jameson's crash site since installing Odyssey

I went to HIP 12099 1 B and there's nothing there. Scanned it, orbited it, landed on it, no POI, nothing. Do I have to switch back over to Horizons for it to show up?

good question and i should hope so else the dust storm's or geological event has some how erased all trace?
else it may even require a legacy boot hope not though maybe recheck ground coords too -54.3, -50.3
like davs that was a farming hotspot?
though logically speaking of course it would have been plundered to death by now

Well, that's just great. Watched like 20 YouTube videos on how to get there and scan it and there's nothing there. Except for the fact that there has to be something there because there are like 137 fleet carriers orbiting the planet it's supposed to be on.

Looking at Reddit and a few other places, apparently this has been an issue for 4 years now. If you're an idiot and install Odyssey, it removes several POI's. Even booting back into Horizons won't fix it.

This happens sometimes, from what I understand. The site is still there though.

Move to one of the nearby fleet carriers, your short range sensors will scan the planet again and it should show up.

I've done DSS, FSS, D-Scan and nothing.

Every single video I've watched shows the same thing. You get within 1,000 LS of 1 B and the POI just shows up in your nav menu.

have you checked your ground co ords the poi shows after visted once i believe goto -54.3, -50.3 exactly first time there it has to be discovered methinks

Well, if re-logging doesn't make it appear, you can always fly to the coordinates manually.

And how do you do that?

[-54.3686,-50.3608] is where it's supposed to be at. But I've seen posts on Reddit where players have gone to that exact location and it's simply no longer there.

That is utterly ridiculous. So, someone who has never played the game before and installed Odyssey would never even know it's there. Ever.

I've never even tried to find the site before until now. It's simply not there. The only thing that changed was that I installed Odyssey last night. Apparently this has been an issue for years and hasn't been fixed. Last post I saw from FDEV on the subject was 2 years ago and it still wasn't resolved.
