Deception is a strong claim.
Speaking as someone who started gaming on an Atari 2600, I'll always have love for consoles. I own ED on PS4 as well as PC, so I share in the disappointment. But it's my opinion that FDev got over its skis with Odyssey, and has been catching up ever since.
My $0.02 .... they should have taken the SRV mechanic and modified it to space suits to give everyone a walking around experience. Then, they could have rolled out progressive updates, steadily improving the look of planets, addining doors and interiors to existing structures, etc. But what the hell do I know.
OP has a right to be upset, but I disagree that this was deception. It was just a badly orchestrated major update to the game, which is still being digested 10 updates later.
Good luck wherever you go, but I'm not buying the Star Citizen hype. I'll check that game out when it is completed....that's been going on 10 years now, after they have sucked a #### load of cash from their backers. I think my out of pocket for Elite is something like $100, and I have played it 20x more than all my other favorite games combined.
I wish I got a refund for Dragon Age, but that ship has sailed.
