I don`t want to sound like a perve or anything, but...Males in Character Creation...

Yeah bring in the junk for men and woman 'bits', and a weight slider or size/height option please. I appreciate that last one may be more a techincal challenge or limitation but even say 3 body types, the small we have now, a med and large would make a world of difference!

Surely this isn't a censorship thing, just an artistic direction Frontier have taken?

Fair enough on not have a junk slider but with realism being important in the game in general it really needs to extend (no pun intended!) to the player chars.

This is what happens when everyone constantly complains about things being "foot long, inch wide"

I did get that right, yeah?

And besides, anything else would break the bobbleheads physics...

I've always heard it as mile wide, inch deep.

Doesn't really work as well for jokes. But it leaves you with a humorous image at least.

Next episode I`ll be pointing out how women`s chest area (sheesh stop with the censorship already!) is ridiculously flat.

Agree with the rest, especially this, my AI crew has ample chest in the image, yet this is not possible in HOLO-ME, it looks like they took a clothes iron to female chests, or that suit is so tight they could not possibly be able to breath.

Other studios are less stuffy, and reap the rewards of more edgy games which arent targeted towards seven year olds.

There are many stories about players who first started playing Elite at the age of 7.

And that also goes for Elite Dangerous, many fathers (mothers too?) now showing their kids Elite Dangerous.

There's really no good reason that ED should push things for the sake of genitilia concerns.

On the OP's topic & ensuing discussion: I honestly can't believe how much attention is being paid to crotches. I'm not going to pretend that I'm a...sheltered internet user in my own personal free time, but that doesn't mean I walk around in public wondering how other people's junks look in their clothes or whether they can tell the size of mine.

Does anyone have photos of actual spacesuits or other full-body suits? Or even those from other games (ones that DON'T have endowment sliders)? Like, if the difference is just REALLY noticable to the point of being truly, disconcertingly unrealistic from a physical point of view, I *might* say "fine, proportion the pelvic area a bit better", but...really, it shouldn't matter.

Nobody flying a spaceship game will(/should) be going around staring at pilot crotches. At least 99% of the time, you won't even be looking at human figures at all.

That's right; we should be more concerned with the size of Thargoid crotches! Personally, I hope to avoid all abductions and alien probes. :D

You'll be seeing their ships less often (for now) than you will human figures, much less any individual Thargoids - and whether they have anything at all that could be considered a "crotch" is not an assumption that can be made at this point.

I'd expect them to have 8 legs, like their ships. That means they could have 7 crotch areas. (I find that thought disturbing.)

Being myself an avid cyclist, I spend a great deal of time around men (and women) clothed in skin tight spandex. To be honest, unless the dude is like, seriously well endowed, you don't really see much tallywacker under the spandex. The way the game depicts it looks about right, to me.

Your AI crew took those photos from the lounge, and they had help.

Your imagination is what's disturbing! [haha]

I just have to say, I only looked at your forum username after reading that post, and I gotta say, you picked an appropriate one. Probably. ;)

Well ED has taste and it's probably all squashed under the remlock layering. The civilized 34th century isn't like Conan-exiles or anything, lol.
