Your explanation is good but worth expanding upon: (1) fines for moving violations and No-Fire-Zone violations that can be paid off anytime, (2) fines for scan violations that turn into bounties if not paid within the timeout period, (3) bounties for assault that can be paid off after 8 to 10 min, (4) bounties for murder that can be paid off after a week.

Thats not entirely true AFAIK: there is only one type of fine, and they all become bounties/legacy fines. However, these tiny bounties are so small that we usually dont even notice they become bounties, so it seems like they go straight from fine to legacy fine. Same as with bounties: there are no 'types', the timer is purely dependent on the value of the bounty. If you get ten '600cr' bounties you'll be banned for a week as well, just as with a single 6k cr bounty. Again, AFAIK.

Then you don't have a bounty, or you've found a very esoteric bug. Because what you are describing shouldn't happen.

Remember that bounties revealed by KWS are NOT visible in the general scan area, bottom left of the cockpit! You will always be 'clean', no matter the bounties you've incurred elsewhere. The pilot who scans you needs to check the details on the contact tab of the left-panel.

Just got another player to scan me, they checked the details tab and it was there, i did think it odd that i showed as clean.

How do you know you were clean?

Unless they've looked at the contacts panel and looked at your bounty on there they won't know about it and you still won't appear wanted.

First player obviously never looked hard enough
