LostWinds I Doubt there is anyway to fix this

I am in Melodia City, to the right of the see saw on top of the elevator. The King is underneath me, but I cannot see him in my screen, meaning I cant vortex him to get the elevator to go down. There is no way out of Melodia City, as one entrance requires singing, and the other is blocked by an invisible force field. Is there any way to fix this?:S

Try exiting the area and coming back in. If that doesn't reset him then quit the game completely and reload the save from the front menu.

No exits, can't save

As I said before, the only two exits are blocked, so i can't get out. Also, when I try quitting the game and start it again, I'm still in the same spot, because a save point is in the area...

If I remember correctly, you should be able to head to the left, over the see-saw and up the hill and there should be a windstone up there that can be used to move the lift.
