Usually its to grief or get attention (the whole "hi mom i'm on tv!" thing) in the case of competitive games its to get an unfair advantage since from your perspective your opponent is willfully showing you his strategies/plans (the internet equivalent of spliscreen cheating your buddies since on the same TV)

So, ummm, the newbie you were with got sniped, right? Since you don't stream, like ever apparently.
Best guess I have because nothing else so far.

Set it to "automatic"
Then the forum will set it to the right colour based on your theme (I have black background / white writing)
And I have the reverse.
if you read the whole thing it says I dont stream, so yeah that guy got killed.
So, they targeted a relative unknown, just new to the game, to stream snipe?
Who you were escorting at the time, correct?
