I for one welcome "Maintentance Mode"

So what would you like the see. What would the game be like, when you logged in and went Wow! I love this?

Nah, I'm not falling for that one again. I describe the game I want and then a hundred white knights pile on it and pull it to shreds. That tune is old.

I know it's madness to expect it, but how about the professional game designers that I paid a subscription to tell me how to design a game, instead of getting me, a punter, to do it for them.

But OP: wasn't that beyond? FDev said last year's efforts for exactly what you are asking for now. So who's making a mistake here?

Not really. Frontier pitched beyond as being an expansion of core game mechanics. Which is what it was. We got revamped mining, exploration, BGS functionality, and crime. OP is talking about fixing bugs and doing basic quality-of-life passes for making everything already in the game work real good, which right now it totally doesn't.

Ahhh useful. That means you can just complain about anything. A bit like Andrak saying the game has been in maintenance mode for ages, but he has not played for ages but thinks he can tell from patch notes.

And since we are pigeonholing people, I guess your in the hater box. It really does not matter that FDEV do does it. Some folks just come here to slag everything off and complain.

I was thinking about that, if ED is truly going into maintenance mode then that'll be a good thing as long as they actually iron out most (preferably) all major bugs and adjust current mechanics.

I'm thinking we just went through maintenance mode (Beyond). Also I'm skeptical that a "huge content update" will have much manpower leftover for bugfixes. But we'll see.

Not literally anything, no.

Just the bugs, marketing gimmicks, hype, broken features, regressions, lack of content, copypasta mechanics, more bugs, shallowness, mediocrity, broken promises, tedium, unbelievability of the setting, placeholders, more bugs, basic GUI design flaws, the grind within grind within grind, and both the terrible quality and limited amount of NPC dialogue.

Yet you are still here?

Yes, this is different point. We can state are opposite positions till we are blue in the face. I like the game and FDEV, which is why is carry on playing and enjoying it. You think it is crap. So why are you here? Why are you posting about something you hate, when it is entirely optional? It's not like an unfair tax of something. So what is it? Are you disappointed because it is similar to game you want to play but not (can't help. Go look for / wait for another game)? Or are you just a troll?

Ah, just the stuff that happens in your head then. I'm glad I don't live in your world. If I found myself commenting on a forum all day about a game that I hated and thought was really badly written, instead of going away and finding something enjoyable to do, then I'd probably disconnect my internet for a few months. When I get bored of a game, I play something else. I find that endlessly spamming the game's forum about the fact that it isn't a different game does neither myself nor any other readers any good whatsoever. Though admittedly, it can be amusing for bystanders. :)
