Just check your FSS before you go. Mine now has 2 additional signals, rather than 1.
Is there a method to searching for this stuff, how so, and how may I help? It's a bit over my head at the moment, so far I've only observed the spectacle. I've got an exploration ship and a fleet carrier standing idly by.
Slegi is quite a bit further out than Oochorrs - it's also in a direction where we've not had previous reports of Thargoid (or Guardian, for that matter!) activity despite it being a fairly well-travelled area by the old Formidine Rift hunters ... and other than Heart and Soul considerably further out there's not a lot in the way of nebulae in that region or direction.
With Oochorrs, at least with the Gnosis incident we did have some indication this might be a Thargoid region ... this might be an even bigger discovery - great work, CMDR!
Time to fill up my Tritium reserves...

This definitely seems to be the system/area that the signal is originating from, seems to be between this system and SLEGI ID-W B46-0 more specifically.
However there's no sign of any flare or anything, could be bugged?

I can confirm that signal. I am heading there tooWhile exploring around the Barnards Loop area, I stumbled upon a second anomaly signal.

I'm currently in the Slegao PJ-Q E5-0 system and the signal seems to be coming from somewhere in the Elysian Shore direction, I'm heading out that direction now to see if I can locate the anomaly itself.
Keep an eye (or rather an ear) out.
In this post they mention lense flares and Galnet have refered to the anomaly as a "flare", there are also three flare like things in the image of that post so I have no doubt we'll be seeing a third one appear soon.Elite Dangerous Odyssey | Minor Update 08.09.2022

@SolaceOpossum Keep in mind, with the update we can only see the flare when it is close. First it is seen as a tiny red dot when picture is zoomed in.
I'm as close as I can physically get, there's still no flare.
I think it might be bugged.
I'll search around the system though and look for anything unusual.
I think you can only start to see it at a distance of less than 4 Ly. It might be midway between systems, it will be invisible there.

Ah the memories..... missed it by 18ly.
I am currently in Swoilz PA-F b3-2 and I can hear both of them. One if I point the fss at barnaard loop, the other one when I point it at a selected system between heart and soul nebula (eafots bp-i d9-35) however its very quiet.
They are out there, they are defnitly out there.
I can hear it from Oochorrs. Did my best to show the two different signals in the FSS from my location!
