I got a tip off, come see !!!

I got this tip last night, strangely just after getting my Elite rank, is there a connection, do you only get these when elite ranked, first one i have ever had.
So here it is, i am going there now, and i am posting it so anyone can come and join me if your around the area, but i have the encoded key, haha. But might be interesting, what wonders will i find, or what rubbish will i see. Who knows, who knows, come see !!!!

I found crashed ship that had data core which gave me data to redeem at empire station worth about 500 000 cr.

These crashsites are persistent right?

would be nice if there is an list of crashed ships, could be a nice tourist trip.

I'd gotten a tip a few weeks back and I'm nowhere near Elite. Only one so far. I never noted the coordinates so I do not know if it's persistent.

Please Not HIP 14840 2, 41.10, -68.57 again [noob]
If you are interested in not very profitable stuffs (because no access key for data core)

ICZ LX-T b3-3 A 6, 12.89, -122.38
LHS 2725 A 1, 8.66, -159.75
Xoloti 1, -73.30, 69.91
Amahu A 3, -0.78, 145.96
Col 285 Sector TY-0 b20-6 1 a, -55.39, -175.03

Tell me if there is polonium or anything very rare [wacky]
And oh btw.
HIP 14840 2 is a Type 9, coreless, black market canisters
Xoloti 1 should be a Sidewinder, core, escape pod, didn't bothered the canisters.

They are persistent, you won't receive the bonus from scanning the data core unless you have the tip off. The crashed Anaconda in the Pegasi Crater pays around 1.5 million credits, even if you didn't have the tip off you can still pick the UA & Cargo.

@Op - I have feeling these tip offs are being generated for certain cmdrs at roughly the same time, I just checked my inbox and saw the same tip off as you, it definitely wasn't there last night.

That's a week old thing for me already[big grin]
Received all of the above last week, including HIP 14840 2 during my rep grind in HIP 10716.
I also received Izanami's very early, but didn't bother until people saw it has UA. That moment I was in Shu Babassi.

Ah, must be a coincidence then. I received the Pegasi tip off about a week ago, around the same time lots of other cmdrs began posting about it. Nosscars tip off is sitting at the of my inbox.

I did not receive Pegasi, I presume it has something to do with locations.
I spent most of my time on Sothis routes and Arjung, where my ships stored. Only goes up the grid for Farseer.
But non of the tip off popped up, it was only when I grind rep in Shu Babassi and HIP 10716 all of the above tip offs popped.
At first I just simply deleted them, I guess 3 of those has gone into the trash so far, shame[wacky]
Izanami is just <200 Ly from Shu Babassi and all of the above tip offs are somewhere inside or not too far the bubble.
While Pegasi is clearly Maia area, nebulae thing on the other side.

I received my first one Sunday around 2.30pm UK time.

Not sure if it is rank orientated as I am only Broker, Master Ranger.

I had just dropped off a 7 mill Sothis long distance haul of fuel for a Federal faction and they gave it me after I turned that mission in. I didn't rank up with Feds as a result of that haulage mission either.

I haven't been to the coordinates yet, was planning to go tonight.

Do you encounter any "opposition" on site?

I have never seen a guarded tip off. A data core worth at most 2mil, depending on ships.

i did a bunch of courier missions and im up to seven active now, i was grinding rank to get to Duke and they just stacked up, it seems you get them randomly for turning in missions

I've had 3 tip offs in the last week. Not been in a position to check them out yet, and at least one seems to imply its time based, and that if i don't visit it soon then it will be cleared out (unless that's just for story... maybe it has already been cleared out though).

If i get the chance, i might take a look tonight.

I just got the same tip off but have arrived at the co-ords with nothing, just to double check is LAT: the top one and LONG: the bottom?

EDIT: Don't worry i've found it! :p

Make sure in the correct planet and correct +/-
You should be able to see some black dots even more than 2-3 km above surface.

I got 3 tip offs just after being promoted to cadet with Feds. 2 data scans and 1 pirate cargo which I somehow made a mess of. 1st data was 1.6m and a ua. That tried to murder my ship. Still have one data left to do.

Go back. Save load and get yourself 25 fragment before leaving the UA away.

i found the wreck, check the co-ords with my screenshot in the OP. It was an Anaconda wreck i think, and possibly some other ship. A few cannisters thats all, strangely i search around for ages, but no data core to be found.

So ship differs. But coreless is the key.
It is not strange. They are not bound to have one.
How about the canisters. Explosive ? Military Intelligence ?

How are they going to have different ships... Galaxy update ?!
