I am also at the wreck now, I have a T-9 with no data core, its very confusing. There is a cargo rack though and some military intelligence with other low value canisters should I enter a bug report for the ships core?

Why are you expecting there must be a ship core around :S
I don't know whether this is intended or not but it makes sense for not having a data core around.
If it has a data core, the sensor should receive signals of it, but I didn't see any.

Data core on my anaconda in pegasi was on top of the ship. I drove onto it and scanned it.


Sold the ua begin it murdered the ship. 😂

I have about a dozen or more tips to run through after grinding empire rank all weekend. No rhyme or reason I can figure out for getting them...seems pretty random for completing "stuff".

But my tip message states i have an encrpted key loaded on my ship to scan the core, but then, no core found.

All tip off messages come with an access key/encryption key

One you exit the game and get back it the UA is there again,

Just out of curiosity. Did anyone have any strange occurrences while doing a tip off mission? I stopped to refuel at the Drew Base orbital and ended up crashing into some invisible ship or structure. Lost some shield, proximity lights flashing, but no proximity warning before the crashes. I had to back out and go around a couple of times. When I left the the station I crashed again into this whatever and got stuck enough that I had to quit the game and reload. Never happened again after that. Either a game glitch or thargoids.

My mission was in the Wattunukam system. Sorry did not note the planet or coordinates, and it was a crashed sidewinder. 1.5 million in data core scan with key.

You may as well provide more info like ships on board, landing gear... alignment... starport type...

Yeah, they come in little waves, it seems. Both of my tip-offs were accompanied by forum posts from others with the same locations. I don't think that's bad, mind you. In game I still feel like it's my own little private adventure.

Yeah, I'm just a surveyor. The only pattern I've noticed is that I was in game, in supercruise both times I received tip-offs, akin to receiving mission updates. Part of it could be a timing thing.
