I got censored!

Just happened to alt-tab out of the game while I was docked and noticed that EDMC says that the ship-ident on one of AspXs has been censored. :eek:

I use a standardised Ident system (AV for combat ships, CV for cargo ships, EV for exploration ships, SV for scout ships etc, followed by the jump range and pad size) so the ident for this ship was "SV-41M"

In-game it is, apparently, showing as "S****M"

Anybody want to take a stab at what's offensive about "V-41"? [where is it]

What does S....M spell? I'm having difficulties in my naivety working out what it could be. S&M ?

Is V-41 some kind of "special lube" .... like WD-40, but for humans? :O

I was 225lbs at the mid of last month. I had hip pain and I was always hungry. At 6'2" that's not a lot of weight to carry but I couldn't stop eating and I was lethargic all the time, and started getting hip pain on trying to climb stairs.
I started keto after lurking here for over 2 years. When I first started I had no idea what it would do to my body. Let me just say it's nothing but short of the magic pill to vitality.
I haven't counted calories for a single day. Just cut down on carbs ~ 20gm, eat some protein and eat/drink as much fat as I want.
I have lost 18lbs in the last month, hip pain and disappeared. Some days I'm super hungry and I then realize I need to drink more fluids.
I have cheated 4 times over the last month, so I assume, once a week is doable for me. I drink a lot of coffee with heavy cream, Starbucks has a Iced Grande latte with Heavy Cream - has 1000 calories with no carbs.
Down to 207lbs this morning.

Worth a bug report, I would say .... let them say "working as intended" and explain what it means :D

I wish they'd put the censor behind a parental lock. On the forums as well. I once tried to link to a youtube video because a naughty abbreviation was in the random YT url. :rolleyes:

Just had a look...

It turns out I have another AspX with a different configuration but has a similar jump-range, thus receiving the Ident "UV-41M"

And, guess what?

yep, that's not censored.

So, it seems that "V-41" is fine as long as it's used in conjunction with "U----M" and not "S----M" whereas "S----M" is okay as long as it's not used in conjunction with "V-41".

Glad we cleared that up. [where is it]

Well since it doesn't appear to be a social thing obviously it must be a matter of national security and the (not to be mentioned) is being monitored and censored on an international level. Hope you weren't planning on flying anywhere soon because you are now on every security agencies watch list for your subversive attempts at comprising world order.

I have an ship named "Special Circumstances". It got censored, go figure. But another ship with the pun name of "Smart Asp" is just fine.


I still say that Federal Assault Ship should be censored since it has naughty-ish letters in it.


Working as intended though I suppose.
