So currently in my fleet, I have:
Cutter with 4x Modified shards
Krait II with 3x Modified gauss
Python with 3x Modified Plasma chargers
Viper MKIV (at an impressive 3200 hull health (my most fun ship to fly)), recently configured with 2x Gauss but now temporarily outfitted with rails and ditching the caustic launcher for another heatsink.
If I'm understanding everything correctly, all of my stored Guardian modules (even those not attached to ships) effectively need re-grinded for, and all modified (Salvation) hard points need entire new versions? They really just pointlessly obseleted all the vanilla and pre-engineered Guardian stuff? If so, then I'm confused about why FDev is confused about newcomers finding the "grind highway" to AX combat in of itself being daunting... I don't even want to do it all again!
My buddy bailed in the middle of grinding for the Guardian modules in the first place. He's literally still parked somewhere out in a Guardian site with 3-4 billion locked away in his carrier for over a year now (having quit just before the Salvation narrative finale). So, now I get to tell him, "oh, FYI...those modules you were about done grinding for? Err...yeah...you have even more grinding to do for those err...now."
This is enough for me to "nope out" and just stay in Colonia. At this point? I'd rather continue to just choose ignorance. I can't wait to sign back in, after a long break, and hear that all the A-rated FSDs I have are no good because the Pilot's Federation has changed the jump algorithms within our systems, rendering our current FSDs paperweights, until you apply some new "core/ firmware upgrade," of which will require precious materials, ranging from 25 Military grade alloys, 15 Datamined wake exceptions, 25 units of some sort of cigars...and a laundry list of other things, "just because."
