Have you not read the News items from Jaques Station and how they depict his ordeal? And then compared them to the official interview made with "Jaques" after he was discovered. They are eons apart in both drama and syntax. They are not made by the same "Jaques". It's as clear as day!

I have and the way I see it is that the media in the game is playing a RL trick manipulating news. They don't want people to know that something is out there because they're afraid of things they can't control..

I am fun just not when it comes to silly scare tactics lol, I for one will not be deploying HP's If I meet another non human being.

I look forward to making contact.

By Braben's comment and recent events with the Feds trying to stop barnacle harvesting(they are in the right here) I'm 90% sure the time to not shoot has come and passed when we found the barnacles.

You should NOT fix the entity calling itself Jaques! It is not the Jaques we helped by bringing him Hydrogen Fuel. Something/someone else is claiming to be Jaques, but the discrepancies between the distress reports and Mayday calls in the station's News items, and the intervju with "Jaques" on Galnet, clearly prove that something has happened to Jaques while stranded in that system.
If you bring anything to that system it should not be Meta Alloys. It should be guns. Lots and lots of guns!

Except this is frontier and put 3 devs together and they all say something different, let alone half the community people. One person wrote the first bit, someone else the next. Logic is sometimes stranger than fiction.

I want to believe, Mulder.

I hope you meet something with the same inclination as yours. I would still come prepared though. Strange things are afoot where Jaques Station currently resides.

The "fun" comment, was meant for exactly the attitude that "there's something wrong with the game, so just ignore any discrepancies". Has it really come to a point where anything "odd" is considered "just another day in ED Universe"? That's too bad, as there will be no more "playing the game", but rather "standing by for a bug-fix". Where's the fun in that? :(

But FDev stated that they expected it to be found at some stage. It seems strange that they wouldn't have prepared a response to it being found. I can't believe they "winged" it just because it happened a bit sooner and with a different strategy than what they had expected. The storyline was there, it should all be a matter of "A happened. Insert prepared response A1."

Currently I looked up the video you posted on reddit and the fact it lacks UC data selling, repair and other facilitires, all we have is docking and commodities market.

So taking my exploration asp and data back to the bubble returning with a combat / hauling python with an interdictor i see npcs in and around the statin so we might find them in supercruise

It is near a nebula ( im expecting barnacles and MAs to be found) repair the station and then see what Fdev does with it.

Keep us updated on what else u find while poking around

Just dropped in and repaired my ship and sold some exploration data to increase rep with local faction. No missions at present but you can buy a viper and go hunting in nearby RES...The station is 500 ly away from a Neutron field too... :)

Mission to Jaque

I got a mission for Jaques station.
Unfortunately I was sitting in my Orca when I accepted this mission, overwhelmed by the amount of money. Hopefully I will get there in time ... and in one piece. [where is it]

How long did you get for this mission? A couple of weeks should be sufficient, if you're able to play a couple of hours every night.
