I have managed to get the Dukes of Mikunn to start a takeover of a neighboring system

If there are any combat pros out there who are bored, make the trip up here to mikunn, jump into HR and start smacking about every ship u see that belongs to sys authority, HR dyanmics, HR law society. Perhaps destroying hundreds might weaken them enough for the dukes to make headway
 
A new question, im seeing a lot of wanted dukes of mikunn ships in mikunn, now being pirates but membes of the dukes faction. I did shoot one of them, got a bounty which is claimable in teh station

Now the devs in their early blogs stated that levels of piracy in a system could affect economic and wealth measures. Now are these dukes faction npcs doing harm to the system by shooting traders ( which in certain USS ive seen the dukes wanted ships shooting at dukes traders) would it be helpful for us to shoot our own factional npc pirates - this would encourage more npc trade and the dukes are the only ones in mikunn.

The missions to kill pirates in mikunn from the dukes actually give a influence boost and a economic boost ( the reason i shot 1 pirate to start with) when completed.

This line of reasoning would also imply that if we shoot HR dynamics or law society pirates we might actually help their trade, but if we focusedo n tehir traders only it could help our side, if we shoot dukes pirates in HR would that help the dukes in economic terms. But it could also help HR- not sure i might just test it by shooting 10 pirates on the dukes missions leaving the dukes traders alone and see if it does anything to system ( if its broken anyway the worse might be economic bust and if i see anything like tha appear i shall stop)

The logic being that the dukes pirates are choking the dukes traders in mikunn - but does this weaken their forces ( actually i also saw sys auth ships just now while posting this shooting a dukes pirate in mikunn) so i dunno weve tried everthing else im going to start shooting dukes pirate-wanted ships only ill use the kscanner , but it will be to fulfill the dukes missions to shoot pirates in mikunn. So maybe the net affect might be economic boom with a neutral influence and maybe a wealth modifier upwards - traders to flourish and push the pirates out

Well just shot up 15 pirates pretty quickly and system status in mikunn in the bar on the right has gone to expansion pending...... ill continue to fiddle with this
 
Crime, Glorious Crime

Big group of us terrorized HR tonight. It was a quality time with quality people.

Checkpoints were raided, Anaconda's de-bunned, and we stole a Type-9's worth of narcotics just because we could.

Overall it was the most fun I've had in this game yet.

A good number people showed up to as the night went on. The list includes (Hopefully I haven't forgotten anyone):

Good to hear u guys are starting to hit em hard, most of the last few hours has had civil unrest critical with a blue and red arrow at different times in HR local. Hasnt flipped yet, but the disparagies between the dukes and HR are probably still a big factor in flipping, that and the npc trading in the background means its gunna be tough until we either get the dukes another station essentially doubling their wealth or boost their influence
