No joke.

I just decided to give the two new ships a go.

Krait was a bit meh for me... But the challenger?

It does everything I wanted from the Cobra Mk III and more.

I said that the problem I had with the Chieftain was it had one too few optional slot for me.

The Challenger has the six I wanted.

The Challenger also really accomodates a crew member, with great mountings for a turret, and also, I've fitted a seeker rack on the chin.

I genuinely prefert this brig. I'm very happy.

The cobra will always have that awesome classic look, but I agree you can't go wrong with a challenger.

Right. Who are you, and what have you done with our Un1k0rn?

I know, I know. Privately I've been expecting this. Like I say, the Chieftain came so close to becoming my new ship, but it just had one too few optional slot.

Now the Challenger is here, with its six slots, I'm ready to move onto my next project, the Dragunov. A versatile ship designed for Alliance support. Full combat capacity, but also 64t cargo to move equipment with, and an SRV to unlock planetary operations, as well as other equipment in storage for other roles.

I think I'm going to have to take a closer look at the Challenger, now...

When I was at Jameson to get me the Krait I also got me a Challenger, put all A spec stuff on it and took it out for a spin.
It's a nice upgrade for the Chieftain and a bit more multifunctional but I realy don't like it's looks.
The Chieftain looks nice with the engines along side it's hull but the Challenger looks like it's missing something in the front.
Maybe when a nice shipkit comes out, not the same one as the Chieftain please, then I might reconsider.

The Krait is becoming one of my favorites realy fast, imho it's more of a Cobra or Keelback competitor then a Python replacement.

Another one is initiated and sees the light
of the challenger shine bright.

I must say, the Challenger is the only non-Gutamaya that has me looking at it like "I need this."
Really like it's look. Need da $$$ though. Getting there, slowly.

I'll see your Cobra and raise you an AspX and a Python.

Finished outfitting my Krait last night and then immediately decided to sell a Cobra I'd been planning to build for something shady, the AspX I've been using for scavenging and a Python I'd been building as a pirate ship.
All will be replaced by Kraits which can do the same job better.

Yeah the krait's a bit good. Not looked at the Challenger yet... this weekend if get around to it, though I'll probably end up tinkering with the Krait a bit more.

Not selling my Cobra III though. That would be silly.

Blink twice if you're under duress. I'm scared for you.

In all honesty, the Challenger looks like a great ship. I am happy you found something new to love.

No pics of this wonder ship?
Doesn't seem very fast, is it agile at least? DD G5 just over 200 (without adding weapons, etc)..

GET OUT!

The Chieftain was a bit too sluggish for me, especially in supercruise. Not expecting anything better with the Challenger, and I don't use telepresence, so the Krait is a nonstarter.

No worries though; it keeps things nice and tidy.
