I need a location that gives loads of schematics for both weapons and suits please.

There is always at least one schematic at irregular marker POIs. There may be one per sea-can but I can't quite remember and don't want to over sell.
Not as good as irregular markers, but there is also a much higher than 10% chance to find them in the ops buildings in settlements.

Note that by schematic I mean any type, including the useless ones like ship and vehicle schematics.

Good hunting.

Do you have acces to shinrarta? If so, planet one - there is a chemical base there. The CMD building can be accessed from the back, and the ops room has a locker that has schematics (suit, weapon) 90% of the time (and can spawn more than one. Max I have had in one locker was 7 schematics).

you can get in and out without setting off the alarm, or you can use a silenced weapon and deal with the bounty later on.

Guaranteed weapon schematics (lots): as Steve said, are the larceny missions that ask you to "seize the **** from a hidden cache". Usually they send you to irregular markers which have the shipping container looking things, either two or three, with crates full of drugs and weapons schematics in them.

Guaranteed suit schematics (lots) are high security military bases, the large lockers upstairs in the CMD buildings (usually have the panels for anti ship turrets/anti personnel turrets/authorization scans in them) spawn 'em. Not as sure a bet for these as the weapons schematics, but the large locked cabinet that needs cutting open will usually have anywhere between 3 and 8 schematics in there of varying sorts. (I once got 8 suit schematics in one go, then 2 more in the locked cabinet in the PWR building.)

How about suit sch?

In addition, large (++) Industrial settlements have the horseshoe layout with the appropriate CMD building.

As mentioned above, larceny missions are the best source of weapon schematics and, if you aren't opposed to relogging, you can avoid grabbing the mission item and relog to your heart's content while vacuuming up a large quantity of weapon schematics in a short time. This makes them some of the easiest items to acquire in the game.

The fastest source of suit schematics is still doing missions that reward them while also checking the security and power lockers that have a chance to spawn them whenever it is convenient to do so.

The large security locker can be a great source but, since it can spawn any of the schematics in the game, it just doesn't seem as efficient as doing missions for them. At least for me. YMMV

Depends how many you want OP, but if you don't mind a rinse & repeat method, then take a Salvage Mission for a Suit/Weapon Schematic & do the Mission.
When leaving the area & jumping into Supercruise, check the left comms panel, if the completed Mission Signal Site is still showing in that panel, then BINGO! you can return time after time, returning back to that Site for another Schematic, then another, then another.....do that until you either collect how many Schematics you need or you get bored doing the same over & over.
Bear in mind though, this action doesn't occur with every single Mission you take, but when it does it will repeat until you move on.
