Newcomer / Intro I need advice on which of the 2 monitors is best

I have the choice of buying the LG 34UM57-P 34" IPS LCD Monitor or the 32" Samsung S32D850T 1440p Monitor. Anyone use these or has any expert input on which on would be better for ED?

I use an LG34UM68 34" IPS and i'm loving it. Brilliant with track IR because its nice and wide. And it has a much better stand than the model you are looking at.

What graphics card are you running and how far away do you sit from the screen?

The 32" has a better resolution but a fatter aspect ratio. The 34" has a lower resolution but a wider aspect ratio. The 34" will be handier if you have a weaker GPU, as the lower pixel count will give less display to drive, which means better framerates.

Depending on how close you sit to your screen, the 34" will be more immersive as it will cover a wider field of view.
