Hey guys, last night I quit the game and earlier today I posted my dissolution with the game, but thanks to all the support in "PART I" of my thread, I have decided to have another go.

That was SARCASM!!!!!

Actually, my first thread created a lot of sniping at me which made me want to keep playing, get a Python and GRIEF!!!!!!!!

Here are the results of my bounty hunting this afternoon in a Cobra. I lost a total of around 15% of my hull in all these battles, COMBINED. This also brings me to 194 kills since my late GAMMA wipe.

as for the thread closure the mods usually close threads that turn into a troll or snipe fest, if you look at the last few comments in the original thread you can see that's the way it was about to go.

Yep forum has a tiny limit on what you can post, image wise, I always host my images elsewhere and link to them (but with the "copy the content over" checkbox unchecked). Now.... if you have quit the game and have no more interest in it, why the determination to post a screenshot? The game is not for you, no game is for everyone, but why spend any more time on it in that case?

I quit the forums once! Then I was back within a few hours.

My guess is that your thread was locked because it served no purpose. All you did was complain about how easy the game is, boasted about how great you are and said you were quitting, which I have to say very few (if any) care whether you leave or not.

You obviously didn't quit seeing as how you are still here and talking about how you played today even after saying you quit.

This thread will more than likely be locked too. If you aren't having fun, go elsewhere.

Why would FD lock a thread that over 2100 views and 77 replies? I thought the forum was about conversing with other players.

Fair play for giving it another go tbh.

ED took over from my usual flight simming since I got the beta, and it's actually been a real joy to get back into my flight sims again this weekend. So I'll be giving ED another night or two over xmas and then taking a break and see what they do with it next year.

I've had some amazing moments during the beta/gamma periods, fell absolutely in love with it, praised it, and felt like I was playing Elite again. And then after a while I started to see the cracks appear, and at launch realised that all the placeholder stuff might not actually be placeholder at all.

It seems as though a different audience will end up playing ED than the audience that helped fund it and helped shape it.

edit - just want to add something to this in the vain hope that someone from Frontier sees it -
If you balkanise the playing experience, you balkanise the players - this is precisely what has happened and why you have two very different groups on the forum, and why you will see more different groups appearing in the future. Good luck with that, you should have just remade Elite.
