General / Off-Topic I quit today because game is BORING and far to EASY, PART II

So, you quit last night, erm... but decided to return this afternoon?

Thats not quitting, thats just going to bed. Infact most people who didnt quit last night probably had a longer break.

Good to see you back anyway :)

Okay, now THAT was funny! :)

You're good at bounty hunting it seems.

Go visit any station and check the news - theres trouble brewing and the Feds could use a good pilot. Find some kill missions and help boot the Empire in the rear (your actions via missions change the galaxy)

I agree, it is mostly boring because of a lack of content and real game play mechanics that don't lack any depth. Right now its a very boring future version of Eurotruck Simulator 2 (which is more entertaining then getting bored in super cruise).

I'm trying to get back to ED sometimes but I really can't take it much longer than a single mission anymore. Like today I did a mission for the navy, some cargo transport, 4t non lethal weapons. Didn't get payment for that, that was OK as it was stated in the description. But I expected to get something more rewarding back than the usual mission screen with the same 1% change. The 1% change is actually never reflected somewhere else. For more than a week now I'm doing missions for just one faction but it's influence got stuck at 78%. I don't see any change in the market nor anything else either. I expected at least a follow up mission for the navy after this initial contact from them.

Now I'm thinking about trying to sell the account to some die hard fan who want's another account with the premium beta features for a friend or something or just coming back in 6 to 12 month and see if it turned around. I've got me a Star Citizen account two days ago. Unlike ED they make clear they're still in development and didn't do a huge circus around a pre-mature so called product release. And the new signal system they've implemented is really amazing. ED's claim for realism looks like a joke against that system simulation.

Dear fan boys, now have serious fun burning me and throwing stones! ;)

Why would FD lock a thread that over 2100 views and 77 replies? I thought the forum was about conversing with other players.
It is. Your thread was not about conversing with other players, it was to complain without offering any example to make the game better in your opinion. It served no purpose and looked more like trolling (As though you were trying to incite an angered response from the community).

I care, I care about the community.

We're all the players here, arent we all on the same side...? Striving to get the perfect experience from this amazing game?
We are and most people do care about the community. However when people have a need to write a post saying they quit instead of just leaving outright, it's usually because they are trolling or attention seeking. The fact is the original thread had no point to it, it had many sarcastic/negative posts generated by it and it was locked. That should have been reason enough not to create a second thread based on exactly what the first one was.

I'm all for improving the game/creating a better experience and I don't mind when people complain, so long as it's to help progress this game. Complaining then saying you are quitting without giving any thought on how to improve the game is what I dislike and why I and others don't care.

Not trying to be harsh, just trying to state my reasoning.

I'll give you $2 in shekels for your account

I will concede that the game's a bit too easy for my taste, but I still enjoy it like no other. If you don't, then it's probably time to take a long break or quit altogether. Whatever you decide, there will be no hard feelings on my part. Play what you find fun!

Here are the results of my bounty hunting this afternoon in a Cobra. I lost a total of around 15% of my hull in all these battles, COMBINED. This also brings me to 194 kills since my late GAMMA wipe.

Thanks again for all the support (that is SARCASM!)!

You did that in an evening? That's pretty lousy given the time you had... With that in mind, it would take you two days to get a A1 hyperdrive for a Viper, presuming of course you dedicated two evenings to it. To max out a Viper? Who knows? A couple of months probably... To get enough in order to buy a big high-end ship, years perhaps. Bounty hunting and combat pay in Elite Dangerous, but they don't pay anywhere near as much as trading and exploration. And if you've got good at combat, well done, I just ranked up to expert today. Combat, for me, is getting easier all the time, because my Viper is almost fully upgraded and with practice my skill level gets higher and higher. Go and find harder targets, take on the 150,000 credit missions, go PVP. It's not the game's fault you've become a good dog fighter...

I got a bigger bounty tonight in an hour or two killing Anacondas in my little Viper. Yeah it's easy, no we don't care if it's too easy for you, Mr ALL CAPS name, look at me, shouty shouty, I'm quitting again.

I'm sure higher end content will be introduced at some point. I'm happily spending an evening either mining, trading, exploring, bounty hunting, sight seeing or any combination of the above. When there is more to do, great. But I'm enjoying every session so far with what there is.

Bye!

You're actually bragging over killing so much creds worth of NPC bounties? Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but that is pretty average for bounty hunting in a few hours. Considering quite a few Vipers alone I end up bumping into wanted are worth 30k - 40k anyway. Takes less then a minute to pop them off.

Now, if all them were CMDR redeemed vouchers from actual players, then you may have some bragging rights. But again, highly unlikely, as most CMDR's seem to enjoy keeping their noses clean.

It's pretty easy to pop off NPC Anaconda's never mind the smaller ships. CMDR's however are a whole different ball game.

I Quit Today Because Game is BORING and far two EASY Part XXXIV: Im Still Playing the Game Actually (Part 8): I Made Another Thread Out of Spite but They Keep Closing It (Part 3) - Its Straight Up Dawg Time (Ultimate Sarcastic(!!) Ungramatical Edition)

Seriously, all this wasted on someone naming themselves 'DeathDealer'... no wait... 'Master DeathDealer'! Go figure.

You want attention?
You need FD to take your 'quitting' personally and champion you with the attention you crave?
You know how to use a door?

I'm hating myself for wasting a moment in my life to consider a thought on this, and as for wasting energy with my fingers over a keyboard... I feel I've just let my parents down.

If FD mutter even the slightest of words in reply to this pathetic attempt for attention, I'd lose hope in humanity.

As for World of Tanks, great game and still play it. Maybe you rage quit that too? Just a guess.

Word from the book of wisdom - When exiting, don't take a dump by the door mat. You won't be welcomed back.
