Like, poor customer service. Also, how does an entire planet disappear? Normally wouldn't be such a big deal, but I do have four missions to turn on said vanished planet.
I realize some bugs are tougher fixes than others, but just deleting a support ticket is really poor customer service.

There's a long standing but extremely intermittent bug where system data partially disappears. (I've had it happen to me but not for years)
Either re-scanning the system with your FSS or for inhabited systems re-scanning the nav beacon in normal space should get it back, most of the time. If the planet has moons/stations which are still on your map, you could also plot to them and the FSS proximity scan should pick it up automatically when you get close enough.
I've scanned both the beacon and the Discovery scanner. and it's hard to manually survey a system when thargoids are actively hunting you.
Using the FSS is the answer to your problem. Do you want to solve it or not?
