Like, poor customer service. Also, how does an entire planet disappear? Normally wouldn't be such a big deal, but I do have four missions to turn on said vanished planet.
There's a long standing but extremely intermittent bug where system data partially disappears. (I've had it happen to me but not for years)
Either re-scanning the system with your FSS or for inhabited systems re-scanning the nav beacon in normal space should get it back, most of the time. If the planet has moons/stations which are still on your map, you could also plot to them and the FSS proximity scan should pick it up automatically when you get close enough.
