"I remember when..."

I remember the first time I opened GalMap and just sat there in amazement as I zoomed out. Then I realised this is going to take a while :D

I like to pan around in the core just to see the (girth, gurth, what was it?) of the galaxy.

I remember when ...

- Erimus and R4nger0 met at "Rendezvous Point" (named after their meeting) on the far side of the galaxy and the thought that two commanders could actually do this was so incredible that many of us tuned in to watch events unfold live and stayed glued to Twitch for hours.

- Surly Badger came up with the Fuel Rats and a bunch of us signed up on a forum thread and then sat around waiting, for days, wondering if anyone would ever run out of fuel and call us, and whether the rescue concept would even work.

- Frontier started talking about an SRV, and I argued that it should consume fuel (basically 'cos I liked the idea of rescuing stranded buggies), and then FD added consumable fuel ... but not SRV refuelling. :-(

- Getting that first Cobra was a medium term goal and getting an Asp was a long term goal.

- We had the ability to create forum polls.

- The first griefer kill happened at Sagittarius A* and the exploration community was outraged.

- TJ was blameless.

I remember the first gank in Beagle Point.

lol.
I remember opening the GalMap in VR for the first time. I spent a solid hour just saying "WOW!!!!", plus other things, while the trade routes animated around my head.
