i installed new launcher.. which looks exacly like old launcher. when i load it up, it makes no attempt to patch, just tries to boot up game..
i s anybody able to patch up yet?

Only CMDR Thrust is allowed to kill thargoids at the moment - once he is done then we will be allowed in.
Stuff's still ongoing so it's all a bit up in the air at the moment. I'd leave it a bit.
The launcher will tell you when the server has been upgraded.
FD told us it will take approx. 9 hours, if I remember correctly.
I see that's it's saying "Server Status: Updating".
First time I've seen it saying anything other than "Server Status: OK"
Even when the servers were officially offline.
If it's going to do that all the time, I approve.[up]
Patch notification says 9AM BST (GMT+1), so should have started with the servers going offline around 8AM GMT and therefore +9 hours = 1700 GMT or 1800 BST, fingers crossed.9 hours from 10AM GMT IIRC..that makes it 7PM for me..Time to do some washing and other menial tasks..hohum....

I really wonder sometimes I really, really do. The post from Michael states 9 hours or more from 09:00 BST, so don't start looking for an update until 18:00 BST.

Now I've worked in a company that had online services for our customers. If we give 9 hours downtime out, we would have usually added something like 25% contingency.
Occasionally we needed it all.
Sometimes we needed even more...
Sometimes - we didn't need it all and because we care about our customers, we'd let them in early.
So I don't think it is unreasonable for people to question whether it is back yet. Not complain, mind, just not blindly follow 'simple maths'
Opened the launcher and it told me three days to patch my client.
Yeah, I'm waiting until I get home and doing both computers at once. Oh, wait. Maybe that isn't such a good idea... ;P
