Yes, it was I, Zarek Null, the Overlord of Eravate, the Kidnapper of Aisling Duval, the Killer of Kremainn, the Destroyer of Deciat, the Chosen One of the Guardians, and the soon-to-be Overlord of the Galaxy that assaulted you.
It is a matter of public record that I am deeply opposed to Robigo greed-mongers such as yourself. Robigo greed is a known cause of rampant social injustice, debilitating addictions, and even the deaths of innocent people. I’ve explained all of this already right here:

You besmirch my name; I did no such thing! Your order was unambiguous for "all vesessels to remain docked", and as I was not flying a vesessel I was therefore cleared for launch! Yet I was attacked most viciously and dishonorably without warning!
However the wanton unprovoked aggression (and minor hull-damage) is water under the bridge, forgiven and forgotten, because the disco inferno of the station lighting up your FDL was quite the memorable sight!
If it helps sooth those laser burns, I was leaving the station because I wash my hands of Robigo and don't plan to return. I was heading off to explore the great unknown! To seek and discover new knowledge for the benefit of all Humanity!
I believe that you and I both stand together in support of reducing rampant injustice, but as one idealist to another, I must say that attacking cargo ships from within a no-fire zone is not a solution to the problem that I personally plan to pursue, and I respectfully recommend that you at least consider easing back a bit on that tactic yourself. (Or if not, then next time at least give us enough warning to youtube it!)

I think that title was claimed by the guy who got awarded with your kill on Sunday. I don't think he wants it though, so I am sure he's fine with you keeping it for show, if nothing else

I have intentionally orchestrated my apparent death many times, with the specific objective of spreading my name far and wide across the galaxy. Here are the typical flow of events:
1) A commander recognizes me, Zarek Null, The Overlord and decides "I'm going to bring him to justice!"
2) I realize that they've recognized *me*, and are therefore likely to spread news of what happens next.
3) I intentionally handicap myself in order to stage a high-profile, apparent "death".
4) In their excitement from "killing" someone of such great infamy, they share this information with the public "I killed Zarek Null!"
5) Those that have not yet heard of me stumble across this news, and wonder "What's all the excitement about? Who is Zarek Null?"
6) They then research "Zarek Null", and then learn of my infamy and incomprehensible greatness.
7) Now even *more* people know about me (yet I am actually still alive), which leads some to goto step 1)
The more often this cycle repeats, the more my name recognition with the public actually *grows*.
Don't you see that *I* am the one in control of the situation? I manipulate people into spreading my infamy for me, just as you are doing now. Don't you realize that *all* famous people are publicly criticized, ridiculed, gossiped about, etc. and this very fact *helps* keep their name in the public limelight and sustain, or even amplify their fame?
I thank you for (unwittingly) doing your part to help further spread the knowledge of my name across the cosmos.
