I want to 3D-print my ship. Does anyone know a geometry extraction method that still works?

My ship has a body kit so I need to grab some geometry from the game to be able to make a version for 3D printing, but all the guides/tutorials I've found are from years ago and don't seem to work any more. I don't know which methods are outdated and which are just old but with enough persistence and experimentation I could probably get them working.

Has anyone extracted geometry recently and can point me in the right direction?

Much appreciated!

What's wrong with having 3D printed models and getting laid?
This is how I got married to a girl who paints miniatures with me.

I've wanted to print my Krait II from ELITE:Dangerous for quite a while now.
Let me know if you dig up anything, I'd really love to do it

Go out, get wasted and get laid instead? ;)

I probably already have thousands of hours in-game rather than following your advice and investing my time more wisely.
So a -3d-printed- monument to my misspent youth is the order of the day!

Mesh extraction methods/tips appreciated!

Somebody answer the OP's question! I want the 3D models, too. I'd love to put my favorite ships in a proper ray tracing renderer with multiple light sources and see how good the game could look someday.
