Would having an in game wife get you an extra PIP?

I would imagine that's the way it's sold; but the reality is, once spliced, you find over time the pips fade disappear altogether without explanation.

More likely getting assigned to systems you never thought about initially. Having kids ate two pips right off the bat, but we make sure to address the intrinsic damage with every docking and that allows us to restore a bit of pip management.

You could choose your partner from the avatar/details posted and, on agreement, the pair go off together in their wedding barge

You know this is a fantastic idea, the first game that breaks new ground here will go down in history.
Since the new comms box looks like some kind of social media anyway, why not incorporate tinder and grinder plugins into ED?
I know that bad taste isnt a hurdle because we already have the engineers, this would also give people something to do during those long SC flights.

You'll be granted an extra pip, but you will never have control of it. Use of the extra pip will be purely at her discretion. Additional, but temporary, pips may be earned for any thoughtful actions you carry out, though such temporary pips must be allocated and used as soon as they are earned, as they do not last long.

Conversely, any existing pips may be removed at a moments notice, and although you notice and suffer from the effects of its disappearance (for a considerable period of time), it's almost certain that you will never be made aware of the true reason for the loss.

I was the best man at a wedding in Ultima Online once. Hyle and Nimgrim.
But they divorced eventually and splitting the Rare furniture collection and Reagent chests were a complete nightmare for them both.
Even the pet Dragon suffered from separation anxiety as one went to live in trammell and the other in felucia.

There are so many wedding ships out there.
I have the feeling to get married with another CMDR.
So we can share our ships and everything, some sort of go through highs and lows.
And for others we appear in some sort of a perma wing state - the title CMDR should be replaced with Mr and Mrs.
If we login we always spawn at the partners position.
We stick together forever until we agree to get split.
Functional couple animations would be really cool too, unlike the multicrew we are physically there and not holographics.

And if possible we can have some NPC's kids in the future, maybe similar to the SLF crew. We teach them to fight and survive and see them growing up until they leave us to go to the Pilots Federation to become a CMDR like we are.

I would pay money for this feature. For each marriage and divorce Frontier could charge about 15$/€ or whatever currency you accept - additional money for you.
