I want to reinstall my DK2 what has changed?

Ive got a Oculus DK2, the last time I used it was well before Oculus launched the official product.
I have no software installed and at a loss as to what is now needed to get my DK2 up and running.

what software do I use now as I am under the impression that Oculus has some sort of DRM for compatible games.
Can anyone offer any help on my current issue?

cheers, A little annoyed that I needed to install a 5th elite onto the pc but its working just fine now,
