Thought I would try to fly to SAG A and back in a day from the bubble had to say I give up on the return journey after 8 hours of pressing J on the keyboard it really pains me to use that letter !!!!

Well still 15000ly to go to get home I think I finish it tomorrow I have huge respect for the Bucky ballers after today:)

lol. i feel you. i took a 7kly passenger to the staging area of the COR. almost one week later, im halfway back. The mission only pays 7mil credits. But i better make more from these system scans or i will be quite upset. Found a few water worlds, and one earth like planet (which i was the first to discover). Cant wait to cash in to see if the trip was worth it.

So in the end I had to remap the key to one on the joystick. No more moving my hand! BLISS!

normally I do take my time when I go exploring but for some reason I just fancied trying to do the trip in a day for a change

I do have a key mapped on my hotas but as I was cutting and pasting the route from the spansh site it was better using mouse and keyboard today rather than switching between the two

I have to rep you just for the effort.

I use keyboard and press J to jump myself. You do know that you can re-map it to another key; but then you would still be pressing the J key, out of habit. :D

There's a reason a lot of Buckyballers don't bother with the trip home and just self-destruct instead. The race there is fun, because you're in competition mode. The trip home can be brutal, if (like me) you mostly fly small ships that are not competitive if you carry scanners.

Ironically, the one time I did take scanners and fly home, I ended up getting blown up by a station and losing all my data! That was... a major setback. I almost quit the game over it. Bur I’m too hooked. :p

This game is a bit forgiving tho. Through all the hopping i almost flew into a star multitasking. And at least the game pulled me out of SC instead of having my ship melt inside the sun. The incident only knocked my modules down to the low 90s. Ill take that because i need to cash in on all my data.

Day 5, here. Not even halfway to Colonia. When I get to Colonia Hub I'm gonna buy a Keelback and muck around with the fighters a bit. Take out a bit of cabin fever on some NPCs. I'll also test out some nearby neutron fsd boostin'. Got plenty of spare rebuy change.

Averaging about 12.5 million in scan data per day so far.

I was doing the trip from Sol to SAG in 18 hours, from SAG to Colonia in 8 hours and back to Sol in 9 weeks with a huge break in between. :p
On the Neutron Highway 4 jumps for 1000ly with my Conda.

Managed to do Colonia once in 5 days with a LOT of neutron jumping...never again. .:rolleyes:

Buckballing just isn't for me, respect to the pilots who can handle that though.

I guess this particular scenario could be automated using VoiceAttack, input from the journal/log, allow for some scoop and realign time, copy from spansh & paste to the GalMap, and then jump.

It would not surprise me if some buck ballers is not doing that already.

That's it back in the bubble 8 hours yesterday and just over 3 today so just over 11 hours to do a round trip to Sag A about 347 jumps, I think I will stick to the slow lane in future :D
