I would instantly pay 500$ if Frontier would...

OP: oh boy, to have that in-game, would I pay $500, you bet I... wouldn't.

No sorry..

Put a lot more than that into SC and I'm regretting most of that... Not because of SC or indeed the money. But I bought Space Engineers (£14.99) a while back and now I have a little over 600hrs in it. Enjoying every minute for a very low cost.. Just goes to show.. ;)
Big money, doesn't always mean good gaming. Or indeed, gaming at all, in SC's case. :p

yeah ..HC for maybe $5.00...not $500

And I hear you on SC - What I pictured for SC is what ED is now (plus a story)
Now I'm just waiting for the next "pledge" - if you pay $250 you can have a flying space dragon - and choose your color!!

..ugh

So disappointed in what SC is becoming :( - we don't need these $500 add-ons for ED

It wouldn't be a server anyway, all they would need to do is flag a player as "hardcore" and only matchmake players together that have the same hardcore flag. But there's a workaround for hardcore for the time being, and there's a multitude of issues with the content at the moment, maybe later for this one, once/if powerplay settles and the missions are de-bugged.

you know you can make a private group with any rules you want ? And game is not on the server anyway, with minimal effort you could make private instance of 32 players.

you have all the tools you need to play in so called Ironman mode with no additional money to pay, why beat his dead horse again

Ironman mode was planned, it's something I've been wanting for a long time but still no word on it. :/

Would make the game more interesting for me, I enjoy loss/a lot of risk in gameplay.

bring up a new loading screen that says:
"R.I.P. you were killed while your ship was parked and you were offline. Load new game (Y/N) ?"

Its funny you say that because for me its the OPPPOSITE, i want to feel weaker and more VULENERABLE in most games i play.

I do understand, first thing I did in skyrim was turn off the appallingly crap health regen (even though it effed up the werewolf part of the game) and installed a smeg load of mods like freezing and needing food etc etc.

But I did not think of myself as superior to those that didn't do as I did, hence my ire at "real men" stuff.
