30 January 3303, Kamitra System, Hammel Terminal
Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.
I've been sitting on this knowledge for all these days. Or should I say: IN this knowledge... anyway:
Before going for the planetary scan job in Mawul I left the Eagle at outfitters to install a rented hangar bay for Scarab. Meanwhile, I walked around the ship to visually check if everything is in place. While passing close to the cargo hatch I saw a familiar symbol partially covered by white paint: PGMC.
Pan Galactic Mining Corporation logo. Perhaps it was uncovered by some damage taken during pirate hunting.
Perhaps I just did not notice it before. Doesn't matter.
I stood there staring at it for good few minutes before rushing back onboard and digging for the notes about the ships past.
An Eagle belonging to PGMC in a system which was visited by Vauban. Coincidence? Impossible. This has to be Vauban's ship! And if it is, perhaps I can dig out some useful information from the onboard computer. Flight logs, ports of call, messages, anything...
I fired up the system - clean. Formatted and rebooted, usual procedure. But there surely were people who would be able to get deeper, some data magicians or hackers that would help me. I will have to ask around.
I will also talk to these few friends I have made here in the local corporations, perhaps they could track the transaction details, information on Vauban's new ship, anything that could be useful.
And I was sitting on this information for so long...

Notepad: Checked the brief history of the ship after buying. Seems it was originally a Federation Fighter, and although those Feds don't have the acquired taste of our kind, they surely can build a practical ship... mmh, Seems it was then sold to an independent mining Corp... PGMC, you can barely read the brand on what's left of the paint, but yes, it was converted into a System Security Ship... Wrangell City, according to the logs... Not much else, I'm afraid.
