Since the panther clipper special optional internal slots were introduced, I wondered which special optional internals could be usefull for future ships.
And I got an idea.
name: Overseer (or Overlord)
Large combat support ship. "small fleet carrier" similar design with raised bridge for better overview of the combat
big thrusters in the back very slow acceleration, pair of huge vector thrusters near the front of the ship, those would slowly angle (given the size) when ship throttle is set to 0 or reverse to help with slowing down
Slow, bulky tank with bunch of small and few medium hardpoints (or maybe 1-2 Huge hardpoints those would be only for turreted huge weapons -those would need to be added to the game with this ship since there are no huge turreted weapons ingame)
Can house 2 SLF fighter hangars (and being able to recruit 2 npc fighters instead of current limit of 1)
Special optional internal slot- Rearming limpet, a unique limpet controller that can deploy limpets that restock ammunition of ships (this attaches to targeted ships cargo hatch and after a short timer rearms the ships weapons, utility modules and optional internal modules such as shield cell banks) this limpet can only target other ships, you can't self rearm and the ammount 1 limpet can rearm is 25% so you would need total of 4 limpets to fully restock a ship on ammo
The main purpose of this ship is to provide support to your wing members (or other commanders) during fights
