Ideal Planet Zoo 2 Roster

What are your guys ideal roster? Here are the rules:
• Must have 60-100 species in total
• At least 20 Exhibit species
• At least 40 Habitat species
• No Extinct species
• Make roster in list of numbered order
Have fun, be creative as possible! I will post my post at a later date.

Just like JE I would expect every animal including DLC to move on to PZ2. I havent played this game for months but Im still purchasing the DLC to support the company,

There were 4 animals from JWE1 that were re-sold in JWE2 (3 of which were hybrids). These rest were in the roster on day 1.

That said, JWE3 is doubling down on the re-sells quite feverishly, judging by the smaller starting roster and the deluxe upgrade's 4 species including 2 re-sells.
Thank you, that kind of gives us all the information we need about PZ2. Luckily, there are several other good games coming out

If there's a Planet Zoo 2 game, there should be aquarias and/or aviaries (and hopefully a reworked exhibit system). It should be counted separately, I feel like with aquarias + aviaries + exhibit animals + more habitat animals than in base game PZ (otherwise people won't switch before at last a few DLCs) we might get more than 100 animals.

Saving this to update later but to be sure of the rules, if I wanted to have 100 species, with 20 exhibit animals and 40 standard (PZ) habitat animals, could I make the rest be 20 flying birds and 20 fully marine animals? I'm going on the assumption that these would be the selling points of PZ2...and the answer would greatly affect my roster.

My ideal roster is over 100 species. I also agree about subspecies being skin/model variants under the main species. I would remove some oddballs that i don't think are necesery over other stuff (first ones to go would of course be the latest elephant and the HBB, unless they are turned into subspecies).

Planet Zoo base roster had around 80 animals, and to be honest it had alot of key animals missing and had a lot of holes... and now with all the DLC's and everything the animal roster up to 210. There are still alot of important animals missing but its much much more complete and has alot of key animals.

Flying birds and Aquatic animals are the two most wanted animals in planet zoo, so I would assume they are probably going to be adding them in Planet Zoo 2, 100% at least one of them but im fairly certain they will be going for both as it would be a big selling point.

Considering they would at least need to add 15-20 flying and 10-15 aquatic animals to have some sort of decent representation that makes 25-35 animals just from that, so they can't possibly have a roster of only 80 animals like before, we would have an even more lacking roster than Planet Zoo (of non flying and aquatic animals)... surely they realize that would be suicide for them, going from 210 animals to like 40 lol.

I would hope they are smart about this, take their time and give us at least around 100 (less than half of what we have in PZ1 now) animals at the very least (not including the new birds and aquatic animals).

I feel like a good number to start with (including some birds and aquatics, just a couple) would be 120-150 animals with all the "key" ones as you call them already there from the get go. First game made us wait for dlcs for stuff like kangaroos and jaguars, but now those should be base game animals. I already mentioned the ones i feel would be good to be left for improved versions to come later on DLCs. Of course stuff like kangaroos, koalas, jaguars, etc would still need a remake to match current standars but they are essential zoo animals that we have to get in the sequel's base game. Other ones i can think of are polar bears, capybaras, small clawed otters, african penguins, swans, the barnyard animals, llamas, dromedary camels, emus, wallabies, etc.

Without knowing how they'll implement birds or aquaria, it's kind of hard to separate a list into "habitat" and "exhibit".

As long as the base game as the ABC species in it, though, I'm not too concerned. I'm fine with buying back more niche species. There are some DLC animals I'd like to see in the base game, of course - e.g. the kangaroo, polar bear, meerkat, and one of the African rhinos.

Yea I’m really interested in how “exhibit” animals are handled and to what extent their upgrades will be, because I assume those are one of the shoe-in upgrades of a sequel

I want the OG roster plus many more things. I made a map with animal size corresponding to how much I want them.
A map of the world with different animalsAI-generated content may be incorrect.
