If I have two vehicle hangers with scarabs, is it possible to have a different livery on each?

I feel like the answer is probably no, given that in liveries there is only one option for Scarab livery, and I also suspect if I had a Scarab and a Scorpion then that wouldn't be an issue... ED does occasionally make things not that obvious though so I'm curious is there a way? And if not is it not something people think should be possible. I wanna race with my mate in different coloured vehicles.

I've not tried this, but as the vehicles are tracked separately for almost everything else it might be worth a try:
- set the Scarab livery
- store one of your hangars
- set the Scarab livery again
- re-fit the stored hangar to your ship
- exit outfitting without touching the livery settings again

Pretty sure cosmetics are actually attached to the ship. Anytime I swap a hangar I've had to reapply SRV/SLF cosmetics. Which is a pain in the butt.

I have a ship with 2 hangers, 4 scorpions in total. 3 are black, 1 is red to remind me it's the last one.

Now, if I could only remember why I have 4 scorpions or a need to remind myself of the last one to begin with ... but yes, livery is per vehicle unless the hanger is removed from the ship.

It must have been a good idea at the time. Were you heavily involved in ground combat and the attrition rate was high?

If I am doing ground CZs I like to have two or more Scarabs available if I am likely to be sitting at the settlement for several days until the war is over.

I've got a vague recollection it was for ax reactivation mission stacking, or it may have been when I was scavenging abandoned bases and scavs kept destroying my srv's which I was using to hold more mats than I could carry ... something like that? It's not something I use/need now, but was very early days for me on foot then.
