If I spent as long playing the game as I do on the forum....

Post count is a good stand in.

T.J. is either winning hands-down or losing horribly, depending on your perspective. ;P

As for me - I don't play Elite while doing other things in general. If I'm playing I'm playing, not multi-tasking.

That said I spend way more time on the forum then I do flying my spaceships. heh heh. Mainly because I can and do multi-task at work. lol.

Losing.... Definitely Losing....

Used to be about 50/50...but after the recent carnival of salt, I use the forum much less and play a lot more than I normally do. I find it difficult sometimes having the motivation to come here at all truth be told ^

When at home, not on forums, but when cut off from my PC it's forums on my phone. Lunch and sometimes evening.
Try to make sensible comments or be amusing. The latter usually gets more rep 😉

I bet you'd spend less time if each thread had a distance measured in ls or lys and you had to super cruise to each thread to participate. The forums are instant gratification. No waiting, you can go to any thread instantly and participate. You can't do this in game.

I'd be a multi-Corvette-owning megabillionaire by now.

Are you a More-on-the-Forum type of CMDR too?

The main reason for me is that I can have a quick lurk, comment, rep and be gone without having to quit all my work software, browsers, music and, well, mainly work, since I work from home on my only capable PC :(

If I want to play (and have a decent experience) I need to close down all but essentials, plug in the HOTAS (and sometimes the Oculus) and get flying. I can't have a colleague on Skype pinging me as I'm approaching a pad in a Starport, or being interdicted!! Ho Hum. Such is life!

Fly safe!

... I'd have a combat ranking of "Competent" by now. ;)

For me, I'm frequently either away from home at work, at various appointments, waiting to either pick up someone or be picked up, at the health club, bicycling, or golfing (depending upon the season), or doing things at home that preclude playing the game. Even when at home, I feel that Elite is the kind of game that's best played with at least an hour to devote to it.

As a result, my average play time ranges between three to five hours a week. OTOH, I'm generally guaranteed at least two hours a day where I'm available to post on the forums, thanks to modern mobile devices. If only I could play Elite: Dangerous on my iPad.

...

....

.... there's a game of Elite Dangerous!?? :O

I can play the forums while at work.

And I alt-tab during long supercruise. Reading an interesting post has crashed me into the odd planet and made me overshoot stations more times than I can count.
