You don't need it all unlocked right now, just chill out a bit. Do one of them then do something else. You could even unlock one thing then go have fun with it for a while. It's the same with standard engineers, if you try to max G5 a fleet in one herculean effort it's not going to be any fun and you won't notice the difference the upgrades make.
Upgrades are intended to improve playing the game, not replace it.
This all would’ve been sorted out if they would just let us play-test the “mysterious things” in beta. Preventing spoilers is all well and good, but when it leads to incidents like this, it really is ridiculous.
Pretty sure I did that a page or so ago, but whatever.
If upgrades are intended to improve playing the game and not to replace it then why does Guardians and Engineers require so much repetition and time suck?
How long does it take you to paint a room? Do you paint one wall and then go off and mow the lawn? Maybe go visit relatives in another country for a month or two? Take a job as a FedEx employee for a couple of weeks then temp as a security guard in a shopping mall for a month? Sit in a coal mine harvesting for two days (or until you get bored) before selling your tools to become a tour guide in Huddersfield for a summer? Oh right, there's that room that still needs to be painted - but you find it gets kinda repetitive so maybe you'll hold off on it a little longer. Well maybe you can write on a forum thread about painting rooms and how being forced to use a toothbrush to paint is silly and you can tell everyone they are doing it wrong. "You don't need to paint that nursery. Just chill out a bit. Do one wall and then do something else. You could even look for new colours of paint for a while. It's the same with building furniture. If you try and build all your furniture at once you're not going to enjoy the sanding and you won't notice the difference each piece of furniture makes in your living room."
Rather than keep posting, why not just chill out a bit? You've posted a lot recently, maybe you should take some time and do something else.
You stated that 98% of 3.0 was fine. Pretty sure that removing major mission types for weeks, adding and then promptly removing module types because they flat-out didn’t work, not to mention the enormous pile of bugs that were the cause of the highest number of mini-patches I’ve seen since I started playing, all make 3.0 far less than 98% fine.Ere, nope. All you did is link some posts without showing the reason for my posts, basically people making stuff about me and lying about me if I got that right post. Or am I not allowed to defend myself when people blatantly attack me.
As I said, people lie about me, I treat them with the disdain they deserve.
Hey, let's lighten the mood with a funny gif.
I know exactly what will get FDEV's attention.

Sweeping these gaping faults under the “minor” rug is why I asserted that you are a fan-boy, because no one else would make a blunder like that. Furthermore, I play other MMOs, and I don’t recall them being this bad off so long after a season release.
Maybe after studying the metrics FDEV knew they needed content for the grinders, or far more realistically they know the majority of people don't treat it like a job so it's ok.
You seem to be confusing real life with video games.
You know gamer tantrum compilations on you-tube ?, they're oddly compelling. I'm also multitasking.
Who's treating it like a job? It's a hobby, nothing more. In addition, both your statements are supposition utilizing make believe statistics and/or assumptions.
If my humourous analogy is too much like your real life then I can see why you have no problems with the state of the game. I'm sure that room will be painted eventually.
No? But I understand a bit more about your character now. [up]
More inaccuracy, supposition and assumption. Is this starting to feel like a job because I get the impression you're working awfully hard at this.If you work at it you are treating it like a job, anyone grinding is working at it. Anyone whinging about grind is presumably grinding, or why would they bother.
Was my analogy too hard to understand? Take some time off. I have a feeling this thread will still be here. Why don't you try a comparison with a video game.
You now understand the concept of "ask a silly question get a silly reply".
Skimmer missions, too. That’s what irked me (almost all missions offered in my home system are Skimmer missions). As I said, it was my opinion. I don't do mining missions so do not effect me in anyway.
On that, at least, we can mostly agree.Needing to do the exact same thing 20odd times is not good gameplay and I think that issue is far more important then a few mission types and a module that cannot be used.

Forgot about the skimmer missions, are they still not working?
So okay 94% of the update works well. Of course, if all you do is skimmer missions, then yes that small part of the game is going to effect, what 90% of your own playstyle and accept that it must be frustrating. But I think we should be seeing it as a whole and not just the parts that effect yourself or myself.
Did most of 3.0 work perfecrly fine. Yup. Unfortunately the small bits that didn't work properly effects you in a major way which is a bummer.
But please don't take it out on me. I have never been an FDev fanboy or a white knight. I have too many criticisms of the game for that and certainly want to see the game improved and have less bugs.
Alright, fair enough. I apologize. Hopefully we’ll both get to see this game reach its potential someday.Forgot about the skimmer missions, are they still not working?

Boron doesn't drop at all ever anywhere, and lead is as rare as rare elements, despite both of them being common.
There's a shield bug that allows you to bring your shields back online just by entering and exiting super-cruise.
There were, and still are a whole host of powerplay related C&P issues, including powerplay notoriety, powerplay npcs being wanted by the local faction, yet stillmaking the player wanted if they kill them, powerplay npcs being inconsistant in when they do or don't attack a player wanted by their power, system authorities attacking players for committing powerplay crimes, system authorities showing up when a powerplay npc commits a powerplay crime, and probably a few others.
Oh, and supercharging your FSD when you don't have enough fuel for a full jump makes it impossible to jump anywhere until you dock...
The raw material trader is a disaster. You can see my thread on that here.
You can't apply experimental effects at engineers who max grade is lower than the current grade, which has been confirmed to be a bug.
The service filter was crippled at birth with the 40lys max range and the requirement that you have to visit the system first, for no good reason than "muh personal narrative."
A lot of important secondary effects were left out of the initial release of 3.0, because the devs couldn't be bothered to give high cap a +10% optimal mass as well, and give all misc blueprints a stripped down, flow control, and double braced experimental, even though it should have required 0 effort and people mentioned both issues (misc blueprints have a lower min mass than 2.4 ones did, and they can't reduce power draw which was a useful feature of 2.4 misc blueprints for builds with limited power).
And that's by no means an exhaustive list, just what I can think of off the top of my head.
