If someone from Fdev streams themselves unlocking all the Guardian tech. I will eat my eye patch.

Maybe, if this thread had been more about the perceived issue with Guardian tech. including constructive suggestions about how to solve it instead of continually flinging insults or jabs at Frontier then you would have had a more positive response from the Frontier development team about the issue and the community team about the possibility (or not) of a livestream.

Or maybe not. They've been the full ostrich on this and related threads. Not my idea of a mature response to a real issue raised by paying customers.

Feeding us endless RNG spam was a deliberate decision, I'm pretty confident they knew it could come back and bite them.

I don't see anyone slinging "insults" at Fdev that are unwarranted. At the worst people are saying "They don't play their game" (Much less progress in the same fashion as their players do) And well they have not proven otherwise. They seem blind to their mistakes. Something that would become very evident simply by going through it themselves.

And as far as positivity goes I was shocked by how much of it there was in the first few days. Its only after about day 5 (its like day 13 now) that you see the attitudes in this thread start to sour. And people are perceiving it as them ducking the issue. There are other threads (which I linked to) that have made actual well thought out videos with all those constructive attitudes and suggestions you were looking for. And they are also being ignored...

So you tell me is it us or them?

I know you are having a goof but in all seriousness if there were to be a CG to gather this stuff collectively so that Guardian tech could cost credits only for a week or two for all players who are interested. Sort of like what they did for Cutter and Corvettes. Eliminate the Grind and make a short period of time where it is (relatively) free for all.

Have you noticed we go straight from "could be better through implementing ideas that have many people interested" to "there's no such thing as a perfect game"?

Or straight from "there is an issue which I believe deserves official attention from FD" to "I'm having great fun, where is the issue?".

It's like debating your 90 year old Grandmother.

You missed the point, probably because you didn't follow the discussion.

You've spoiled my collective data farm photo shop surprise now, you are right though it's all just japes. Shame so many people are having a sense of humor failure about it all really.

That does sound like a laugh, maybe a mega ship parked out there so people can get together wing up and every wing member gets the data on access. You'd need to exploit proof it and watch out for the inevitable explorer ship gankers that would show up though (but that's just every CG for you).

However it wouldn't be fair for the players currently doing the second Ram Tah mission, cannon who put all the effort in or players who have already unlocked stuff, so it's probably a non-starter.

Please no.

This "Personal narrative" (which is a good idea poorly implemented) exists BECAUSE people found CG's being used as "Narrative devices" (even though narrative seems to mean, new weapons... to FD somehow) was getting really, really tiresome.

Please, do no go back to using CG's to move every single tiny fragment of your "narrative"

Just design more content like the guardian ruins, but have it as a single "Level" and don't worry about it "only being used once" these sites still have things that are nice to have. The items for synthesis for instance. You could also make the items there worth a decent chunk of credits as well.

If for each guardian technology, there was a different guardian based puzzle (Some could be by flying through and scanning derelict guardian ships in space, others could be in underground ruins, etc) and completing said puzzle gave you the weapon unlock (not doing the same puzzle 48 times) then people would be showering praise all over this.

Please... no more "Narrative" CGs...

Maybe FD will say something about this issue today.

Nope, if they bow down on this it'll be harder to say no to next weeks rant and the week after and so on ad infinitum until you just have a give me everything button at the start menu. If people had that they would just burn out by robbing themselves of anything to do.

FDEV should stick to their guns, and ignore it.

Gotta agree. No more CGs please. They are just more pseudo-content.

Don't do them then. But I would like to see CG's made a bit more interesting with the missions system tied into them instead of just trading and bounty hunting vouchers.

I haven't done a CG in a while myself, but I will at some point again. It's good fun flying a shieldless T6 in open delvering goods, dodging the psychos out there.

OK, yeah if they were made more interesting that would be good.

Nobody wants a give me everything button. Just stop with that melodramatic slippery slope. That's not how this works. You know that I think. What I want and what I think many people want is to be respected enough by the Devs as a playerbase that they are willing to set their own standard of tolerance for repetitive actions and padded gameplay to the same thresholds in their game for their players. For them to be willing to walk the same path they would send us on.

I think Fdev are not so weak as to collapse to every demand after accepting one valid fault. I do think they are strong enough to accept they are being called out on their disconnect with their players over a real issue in their game design. I do think they can be bigger than whatever lost pride they would have by accepting and at the very least attempting to address their flaws.
