If the "low fighter health on launch" bug has not been resolved than this update is going to turn into a salt circus real fast.

Part of me feels that if Fdev is willing to put fighters in the spotlight like they are about to do than surely they have done away with that nonsense of a bug that has plagued myself and many others for all this time.

But another part of me knows darn well that this update will bring some new shenanigans with it. (As is tradition) and if I were a betting man I would be ready to put money on this bug still being an issue for several hotfixes to come.

While the SLF bug is indeed annoying and needs to be fixed, even if it is you will still be living in a salt circus, as its your default position.

I think that happens because the fighter is hit by your ship's guns on launch. The Anaconda, for example, has two hardpoints right behind the hangar.

I thought that as well. After considerable time testing and asking support it seems that's not the case.

I know this because it happens even when you personally fly the fighter. I have screenshots of it being at 1% before it left the bay so nothing is crashing or being shot. Just a good ole bug.

While the SLF bug is very annoying, its quite easy to remedy it. Just dock the fighter again and have it get repaired. It should fix the problem.

It's honestly pretty embarrassing that this bug is still in. Fighters were the headline feature of that patch. Then of course there's also that fun bug when the NPC pilot retracts the non-folding hardpoints on the fighter, and the only way you can deploy them is if "firing deploys hardpoints" is active. Oh, and the fun bug when you let the NPC fly the Mothership, and then when you take back over all your fixed weapons have significant jitter. Oh, and the fun one when you have a ship targeted then take control of the fighter, only to discover the NPC opened fire on the target as soon as the transition stated. Oh, and the fun one where you get stuck in the black screen transition forever. Oh and the fun one....

What ship is this happening with? I'm using a Corvette and have had it happen zero times since the launch.

I haven't encountered the bug, but does it really make much of a difference? Fighters tend to die instantly once their shields go down even with 100% hull.

Please ignore my poor flying as my weapons get switched to fixed:

P.S. How do you properly embed videos from google drive on this forum? Using the "video""/video" brackets didn't work. Or can you only do that with youtube?

Yeah....FD should learn to fix stuff in a timely fashon. This crap wouldnt fly in most other online multiplayer games.

What i dont get are the droves of people who pop up in these threads defending FD. Dont get me wrong....ED is my favorite game...and im grateful that FD made it.....but the lack of updates to address bug fixes (without waiting for the next major release) is VERY frustrating to say the least.

But the absolute WORST part in all of this is, if a bug doesnt get fixed in the upcoming release, i will be there for the next 3 months till the following release. And even then.......its just another roll of the dice
